John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee plan to spend "upwards of $160 million" in the final weeks of the presidential race, according to a senior McCain adviser.
This will represent a massive counter-attack to combat Barack Obama's lopsided spending advantage to date.
The McCain adviser told FOX News that, while Obama is outspending them in all but two of 14 battleground states, "that will change over the last four weeks."
As national and battleground state polls show McCain trailing Obama consistently, McCain is urging voters not to count him out.
"In case you missed it, this is about the seventh or eighth time that pundits have said 'McCain's campaign is in trouble,'" he told Wisconsin voters Thursday. "We fooled them then and we will fool them again."

Bummer he’s Scottish born, innit?....:)
We need the one’s with the stacks of bodies with an ACORN or voter joke.
I don't know but whatever it was, it turned out real good. :)
I love that movie, I already watched Patton this season, on to Braveheart, Gladiator and 300 to get ready for the election.
All I ask is that you kneel, because I am kind.
In the Northwest corner of our otherwise fair state, I live and work amongst them.
(Someday I *may* get the smell off.)
I would love to see McCain purchase the prime time block and have a copy of the letter he wrote in 2006 that called for tightening the regulations surrounding FNMA and FMAC. It was signed by 19 Senators, ALL of them Republican. He also needs to explain he actually proposed legislation to fix the problem but despite the Republicans being in a majority in the Congress at the time, the Dems used procedural moves to kill any chance the bill had of becoming law. He then goes on to show how, if the regulations had been tightened as he suggested, we would not be where we are today.
Doing this on network TV with a pronouncement that he will PROVE where responsibility lies in the financial debacle we are involved in, will guarantee a maximum number of viewers will tune in.
He will also need to mention we all must work together to assure this sort of thing never happens again. This will show him to be willing to reach across the aisle, something he is already noted for (to our great disgust). The idea is to clearly show him as someone who KNEW both the problem looming as well as what to do about it while at the same time pointing out that Osama and company voted against both the solution and the very idea the problem even existed.
He could then follow up with film clips of Barney Frank, et al saying there was no problem with either of these agencies
If we can catch him listening to ABBA he would lose all his “street cred” and lose big with his base.
Somebody needs to do a video of him without that fake voice...maybe with his bowling shoes on and some suspenders.
The sad thing is I can sing along with ABBA.
So can my dog, in English or Swedish.
This is what I was talking about when I said Team McCain and the RNC understand the strategy about "Don't Fire till You See the Whites of their Eyes".
Three weeks is a lifetime in politics.
God speed everyone one of you precious little dollars. Seek and destroy!
They are some of the best I've seen!!! NeverFindOut.Org
Those are GREAT ads, let’s spend 50 million on those, how much money do these people have?
Obama is using his half-hour as training. Once he becomes dictator, er, I mean, president, he’ll be ready to emulate his two great models, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, and give four-hour speeches. Come to think of it, all dictators love to give hours-long speeches. They just love to hear themselves talk - and make everybody else listen.
It should be a compilation of McCain’s longer attack ads.
McCain himself should only speak for about 5 or 10 minutes at the most.
For you, and for everyone else. A little gift I call “Who we got on our side”:
$160 mil - RNC/McCain-Palin
$40 mil - NRA
$?? mil - Rightchange.com
#?? mil - Freedomworks.com
$?? mil - Americans For Prosperity
$?? mil - Veterans for McCain(/Palin)
This is what we got so far. There is money to be spent, let’s go git ‘em! And if you cannot spend money, spend your time! Let’s do this thing.
