Fox's Beltway Boys say Obama's got it in the bag

Posted on 10/11/2008 3:20:19 PM PDT by dascallie

They just said it is a foregone conclusion that Obama's win ( my paraphrase).

Good lord. Thanks guys.

They say it would take a 3000 point rise in the stock market to save McCain now.

The dems special interest agenda caused this debacle and the GOP takes the fall. Is there no justice?

But WHY never any mention of the stinkin' muck and company Obama keeps?

The beltway boys are thinking about the invitations to the Washington cocktail parties coming their way.

Why is is that no one can read the tea leaves on this election. Obama does have it pretty well wrapped up. He owns the issues that have become important to the American people, abortion rights, civil rights, freedom of speech, healthcare rights, entitlements, and every other socialist view that has been jammed down our throats for forty years. All one has to do is go in to Wal-Marts sometime after 11:00 pm on any night and you will see just why no one has any pride in America. Our democracy is lost and has been for some time now, they have just been waiting for the “one” to lead us in to socialism and to no longer have to have an excuse for their failures. We will have decisions to make, carry on as normal with the burden of financially supporting these ideals, joining them or rising up and saying no more.

When I was in college (not too long ago BTW), it was kinda the opposite with regards to the newspapers. A lot of the (liberal) students read those papers like the Times and the Boston Globe in public; I figure it was so they could show everyone how smart and informed they are.

Those guys started crying into their cheerios weeks ago. They’re only good for laughing at now. In 2000, at this point in the election Gore was up by 10 points...and in 1980, the day before the election the polls showed Carter and Reagan tied. We know how that turned out: REAGAN LANDSLIDE. I almost wish FOX would just pull them, but their defeatist antics are the funniest thing on the network.

I haven’t watched Fox News since the 2004 election. They started going left back then so I kicked them to the curb and have never looked back.

I do, however, still like and listen to Sean Hannity on the radio.

I still watch Fox. They are still the fairest of the bunch.

One gets sick and tired of all these nit-witted pundits who are declaring the race over. Jimmy Carter had a 30 pt. lead over Ford in ‘76 and barely won, Gore was ahead of GW as was Kerry. GW beat them both, even on election night 4 years ago the mainstream media was declaing a landslide for Kerry. Bottom line MSM is doing a brainwash on conservatives, with their weighted polls, in an effort to drown our enthusiasm. Obama and his high jacking of this country must be defeated.

why wouldn't they come to that conclusion after McCain's sorry endorsement of "that one" yesterday: "he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States"

McCain is becoming way more combative with his supporters than he is with Obama. You don't win elections by doing that. This is the only election in my lifetime where the candidate treated his supporters this way. And the first election where it is common knowledge and publicly acknowledged that McCain is such a pathetic, sorry candidate, that he needs to be dragged across the finish line.

To believe that he would be on our side if he were elected, is just wishful thinking. He would nominate judges to any federal court, including the SC, only if they passed the litmus test set by his masters across the aisle. He is obviously a broken old man who desperately needs those occasional pats on the head from his enemies.

Mort is a jerk and a liberal at times, Fred Barnes is very conservative. Don’t blame Fred if he reads the tea leaves
the wrong way. He said months ago it was Obama’s to win,
McCain’s to lose. He is right.

Mort Kondracke si an old fashioned liberal democrat and Fred Barnes is an old fashioned incoherent idiot.

Not to mention that neither one of them has been a "boy" since 1953. Beltway Geezers is more like it. They remind me of Statler and Waldorf on the old Muppet Show.

I am hoping, and praying, that the polls mean nothing again, as they meant nothing in the 2000 and 2004 elections. Both times in the past they said that the Dems were ahead and indicated that they would win.

I am hoping that most mainstream Americans, who are too busy trying to live and survive in this world to “do polls”, will show up and vote for Palin and McCain and show these communists, once and for all, and again, that most Americans just don’t WANT socialism/communism. A fact that the lefties keep trying to ignore.

God help us if I am wrong.

I watched all of Beltway Boys and don’t believe this is a fair interpretation of what was said. In fact, Kondracke said he, unlike many others, does not believe the election is over and does not believe the current situation is a predictor of the election results.

Assuming that we succeed in snatching victory this time again and manage to defeat the socialists/commies.....

how in God’s name are we ever going to be able to take back the media from them? We must do so to survive as a free, non-communist nation. But how?

Fox new is so concerned to be “one of the big guys” like CNN, NBC that they have left their viewer bases and are just Obama lackeys. Self serving and not truth is what I see. I suppose with the Truth Squads and lawsuits they want to make sure they are not on the receiving end if Obama wins. They know honorable Republicans won’t go after them later. But I hope they also know their viewership by many conservatives is gone and liberals hate them. If I want liberal propaganda I will turn on MSNBC. I won’t miss Fox if they fold especially with Britt leaving.
