27 Days Left -- What did you do TODAY to help Republicans win?
Free Republic Exclusive | 10/9/08 | Antoninus

There are 27 days left for you to make a difference in the 2008 political season.

What you are doing in a POSITIVE way to help elect McCain/Palin and Republicans and defeat Obama/Biden and the Democrats?

Please note that the following actions do not count:

1.) Seagulling on a thread highlighting positive developments.

2.) Offering the McCain campaign advice on what they should be doing (unless you're a paid political consultant with years of experience, that is).

3.) Thinking you're funny by saying, "I did nothing." The prospect of Barack Obama as president of the U.S.A. is not funny.

There are many positive, meaningful things we can and should be doing to help achieve victory. Much of this involves volunteering for the campaign and getting out into your community with the truth about Obama and his abysmal record, inexperience, and shady associates.

The media won't do it, so it's up to us. Are you up to the challenge?

If so, sound off on this thread!

It’s not funny to me, but I did nothing tangible at all. I have been praying, but I should be able to do more.

I feel so powerless, like fate is at hand. When I feel powerless, I just pray. It’s all I can see to do.

And I don’t trust The Sheep - and after my time in Iraq, I never will again.

Sheep are by nature uneducated. If we don't educate them, someone else will lead them off to slaughter with their willing consent.

I finally got on my local newspaper's forum and started posting material about Obama. Naturally I immediately got feedback which I have been replying to.

More of us need to do this kind of thing....

Agreed!

The girl is doing an outstanding job, and maybe the old fart will get a clue!

FWIW, I have an ongoing project with a number of my friends and associates.

So far I have moved one from Obama at first to third party and finally to McCain. Two more have moved from third party vote to McCain. A few others I am at the least trying to get to move from Obama to third party vote.

The most obstinate one of the bunch I have decided to convince that it's not worth it to vote because it doesn't count. At the least it denies Obama a vote.

Not much, but I do what I can.

Nevertheless, my statement stands.

Ha! It just sunk in that "Obama" is not in the FR spell-check.

But I do regret that he appears to be wasting it.

I choose to let the paid political guys run the campaign. They know things we're not privy to.

And if McCain doesn't swing for the fences, what's stopping us from doing so? It's not just for him that we're working to defeat Obama--it's for all of us. In my case, it's for my kids.

I try to keep that foremost in my mind.

“Since when did FR become populated with such losers? I’ve been here for nearly 10 years—it never used to be like this. “

You kidding me? Ok, I’ve only been here 4 years, but for the most part FR is stocked with solid conservatives.

Mcpain needs to sack up, he let that fooking bolshevik lie his azz off left and right on Tuesday and didn’t say Sh*t about it..

For crying out loud meet us half way... Did you see the guy in Waukesha tonight BEG him to fight!! What the hell -

McCain should wipe the floor with this punk - but he’s not doing anything... If we weren’t up against such an absolute communist, McCain would be in big trouble.

I always pass on the conservative message anytime I can and I take offense your comment.. I’ll take McCain and especially Palin in a heart beat, will McCain take me??? Show me something to fight for.

I donated $50 to the RNC today. We can win this if we stay positive, keep working, and contribute!

Very well done. Loved it! Great slide, awesome mix! Me? I stuck a Mcain/Palin bumper sticker on my pickup truck. Not much I know but considering I never ever put one of those things on any of my vehicles in 40 years.
You don’t see any around here either. RI/MA

For me it is the best way. I lost a lot of hearing in my 30’s and can't use the phone well. We all know the majority of our email gets directed to SPAM.

So this is my only way to get any truth out there and I found I can link my slideshows of Obama in Kenya with Odinga, things that have impact.

Not much, but I do what I can.

Seriously, every little bit helps. What you described above is something ALL of us need to be doing--trying to flip Obamatrons in our own circles.

We have nothing to offer The Sheep but the truth.

The Left gives them bread and circuses.

Who wins?

I feel so powerless, like fate is at hand.

That's the media preying on you psychologically. The best way around it is to click them off. Then take a trip down to your local McCain campaign headquarters and volunteer. I guarantee you'll start feeling better quickly.

When I feel powerless, I just pray. It’s all I can see to do.

No matter what you do, don't stop praying.

I've been here for nearly 10 years--it never used to be like this.

We've never had a liberal on the top of the ticket before, either.

I rheemed out the editor of a news service for appearing to be on Obamas payroll and gave some ideas to one of McCain’s advisors. Also tried to convert an Obamanite but I realized it was impossible because its hard to reason with single cell organisms.

I put bumper stickers on our two cars and put up a yard sign (and emailed the McCain campaign to say THANKS for naming names today in Wisconsin).

Lord I really hoped that was the case back when Sen. Dole ran. It wasn't. So, excuse me if I don't share your optimism.
