There are 27 days left for you to make a difference in the 2008 political season.
What you are doing in a POSITIVE way to help elect McCain/Palin and Republicans and defeat Obama/Biden and the Democrats?
Please note that the following actions do not count:
1.) Seagulling on a thread highlighting positive developments.
2.) Offering the McCain campaign advice on what they should be doing (unless you're a paid political consultant with years of experience, that is).
3.) Thinking you're funny by saying, "I did nothing." The prospect of Barack Obama as president of the U.S.A. is not funny.
There are many positive, meaningful things we can and should be doing to help achieve victory. Much of this involves volunteering for the campaign and getting out into your community with the truth about Obama and his abysmal record, inexperience, and shady associates.
The media won't do it, so it's up to us. Are you up to the challenge?
If so, sound off on this thread!

I stopped by the local HQ yesterday, and there had been a rush on signs, so they were out.
BTW, you can get McCain/Palin signs (or reasonable facsimiles thereof) on

It feels good to actually go out and do something to help the campaign.
Yep!
Sitting on FR most of the day with the negative nellies does nothing for ones personal outlook. I know, Ive been there. :(
Hence the rationale behind these threads. The negative nellies are negative because they sit on their butts all day doing nothing.

Exactly right. In the privacy of one’s home, reading all the doom and gloom is a downer.
Getting out in real life and volunteering makes you realize how many like-minded conservatives are really out there. The energy is contagious and is inspiring to do even more to help out.
To: Antoninus
Put on the McCain/Palin gear to the extent that it gets noticed. Talk to folks that want to talk, and give gear to folks who want it. There are a lot!
Coordinate with other local Republicans on the next 26 days of efforts.
Give more money.
So let's roll --- we owe those folks that have done far more than we will ever be able to do.

Nothing. Rinos need to lose. Especially McCain.

McCain loses. Obama becomes president.
How is this a good outcome in any way, shape, or form?
Besides, Palin isn't a RINO and McCain picked her. For that, and that alone, McCain deserves our support.

My store manager keeps waiting for the day he gets a compliant because of my political views. It is said I have a big loud mouth the can be heard some distance away and I am not afraid to use it. Oh yea and after our clinic was over I carried a McCain Palin yard sign high over my head on the way out.

Frankly, we need volunteers out in the neighborhoods much more than keyboard commandos here on FR. And I say this as someone who has been as guilty of that as the next guy.

I bought two yard signs for McCain/Palin.
Put one up in my yard and the other up in a democrat neighbors yard,,,, with her blessing! 8^)
Now have two converted democrat neighbors voting GOP.

Excellent! If you can convince an Obama voter to vote 3rd party, then you've taken one vote away from Obama. If you can convince them to vote for McCain, you've effectively made a two vote difference. And if enough people do that...

The writer sounds very naivé or a leftie
Same with all on FR who say “Let’s stick to THE ISSUES”
- Right out of the Obama-DNC-DSA morning talking points emails
I stick by my guesstimate that over 20% registered now on Free Republic are radical lefties or worse

My daughter graduated from U. of Oregon last June and I am very sorry to report that they sucked her brain out of her head. She saw O last May on campus and was gushing about how we needed CHANGE and he was the one to do it. I asked her what she thought was wrong with the country and how we should change it. She said “gotta run, Dad” and has never once answered the question. I am so sad about the fact she has totally closed her mind and won’t discuss her points of view. The university was supposed to be about opening your mind and exploration. Unfortunately, it closes young minds after polluting them. Makes me want to get a refund from U of O.

Any swing stater want a free McCain-Palin bumper sticker? I'll mail it for free if you commit to putting it on your vehicle!

That is the person who said he had spent the last 20 months refuting stuff about Obama - but he wouldn’t refute one thing I posted to him.
