Putting A Face On Terror

Election '08: Obama says McCain won't raise the Ayers issue to his face. Well, there's one more debate, senator, and maybe you'd like John Murtaugh to ask the question: What did you know and when did you know it?

It's almost certain that in the questions not selected by Tom Brokaw for the second presidential debate, there was at least one about William Ayers, whom Brokaw describes as a "school reformer" and not the Weather Underground leader who still doesn't regret bombing government buildings.

The question was never asked and McCain never mentioned his name, even though the last question of the debate provided a missed opportunity. Brokaw asked the question, which he said had a "Zen-like quality to it": "What don't you know and how will you learn it?"

McCain could have responded that he, and we, still don't know when Obama was first aware that Ayers, that guy who just lived in Obama's neighborhood, was an unrepentant terrorist and why he continued to associate with him once he did know. But he didn't.

In his interview with ABC's Charles Gibson, Obama whines that while speaking about Ayers on the campaign trail and in campaign ads, McCain "wasn't willing to say it to my face" in the Nashville debate. But that was Zen, this is now.

As John Murtagh, a Yonkers, N.Y., city councilman, says, if Obama didn't know who Ayers was when they first met, "Obama has to be the dumbest man who ever graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law School." Murtagh says, "I don't buy that at all."

My second favorite saying of the day. The first place saying is the guy at the McCain/Palin rally today who took the issue right at them and said he was MAD AS HELL, NOT ABOUT THE ECONOMY, BUT WITH THOSE SOCIALISTS IN CONGRESS!! I loved that when Rush played it two or three times!!!

I am pretty sure that Mac promised a young man today in WI that he will take this up in the last debate—the man pleaded with Mac to expose Obama. Mac then shook the man’s hand and gave him a hug...Mac is starting to see that the people WANT this out in the open and want Mac to get tough.

Obama says McCain won't raise the Ayers issue to his face

Why should he? If this is what Zero is suggesting this, I'm not so sure that Mac should do that on the trail.

The Hollywood Reporter's James Hibberd is reporting that the Obama campaign "purchased a half-hour of airtime on CBS" during primetime.

If Zero is buying air time right before the election, he is really scared. He has to get his victims properly hypnotized.

Maybe Mac needs to buy air time also. What would a half-hour cost. He could then talk about Zero's connections with Ayers, his cousin Odingo, ACORN......oh so many, and explaining his own mortgage plan.

1/2 hour! Afterall, the Dhims say the Republicans are the rich ones. We can afford it, right. I know Mac gets his donations from Americans, not rich foreigners who would like to see America become a wimpy, socialist country but we need to fight them to the finish.

BTW I'm finally getting my signs.

Seeing more Mac/Sarah signs then that other one, and in places I wouldn't have expected to see them. Good sign.

How much would it take to put him on TV for 1/2 hour? Anyone?

I think I'll ask ask him if he would do it. Any donors if he goes for it? No obligations, just yes or no. Not much time left.
