Alaska's Supreme Court has refused to shut down an ethics investigation into Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee.

The decision Thursday sets the stage for state lawmakers to release a report on their investigation Friday. The report could prove to be an embarrassment for Palin and a distraction for John McCain's presidential campaign in the final weeks of the race....

No surprise here. A court is not going to involve itself in an Executive vs Legislature fight.

I wonder if any Obama money is floating into Alaska?

Accompanied by the sounds of hands gleefully rubbing together in media offices throughout the land.

So this report will show that the First Dude made calls to try and get this off the force.

AS A CONCERNED CITIZEN I would make that same inquiry. You taser your step son who is a minor and you are supposed to uphold the law?

Tomorrow is better than the original date of Friday, October 31. Three plus weeks to counter this.

I’m thinking McCain would have found out everything there is to know about this deal long ago. If there was anything real damaging, it would have precluded her being on the ticket.

So the Democrat Obama supporters doing the investigation are going to issue their report before the election. Surprise, surprise, surprise. And what will it say? That Governor Palin did nothing wrong? What kind of odds could you get on that?

I’m disgusted with the whole situation.

and the witch hunt comes to an end. democrats find it nefarious that a governor can hire and fire members of her own cabinet, as she is entitled to do.

if the dems want to make a state trooper who tasered his own son and threatened to kill members of the governor’s family a sympathetic figure, go right ahead.

Here we go with the October Surprise.(one of them)

The media will devote heavy coverage on this for at least a week, making it as bad as they can against Palin.

The state trooper in this case makes for a terrible ‘victim’, so his actions will be ignored my the media

Ever wonder why when Republicans are investigated the investigators are called “lawmakers” in the newspapers, but when a Democrat is under investigation it is by paritsan “Republicans”?

Being that this is a legislative investigation I’d take any findings that they present with a huge grain of salt. You can bet the Obama Campaign is trying to game this the way they did the Jack Ryan Divorce situation.

not only tasered his step-son, but threatened to taser the youngest Palin daughter, Piper.

If you were her father, what would you do?

There should be NO QUESTION about this.

The problem is the spineless republicans.

From what I’m reading, the worst that will come out is the First Dude was a little too meddling in government affairs. Not much different than the wives of male politicians.

It is time for Republicans to go after democrats on every front! Why have Republicans been silent on so many issues in the past? Where were the Republicans when Sandy Berger was being given a virtual free pass? Where are Republicans now when Barny Frank and Chris Dodd are pretending to be part of the solution? In fact, where the hell were Republicans when America needed them to fight off the assault of the anti-American democrat party? A massive campaign against these anti-American democrats is long overdue!

Ping to the list! It’s not strictly a Todd Palin thread, but I thought it might be appropriate.
