This reader out-Andies Andy:

Well I have gone outside and pulled up my Mcain/Palin sign. This election is over. I will vote for Mcain but I know that come Nov. 5 Obama will be our president-elect.
I feel sorry for Sarah Palin. A once promising career will be permanently connected to the landside loss of John McCain.
I weep for my children and their families.
Steady on. This next month is going to be a long month. Lots of things will happen. But McCain has to make some of them happen. His charge that Obama doesn't know the difference between "strategy" and "tactics" could equally well be leveled at his own campaign.

I am open to all "" valid solutions "" that will save us the least amount of grief as you well know..... from my cheap seats up here in the bleachers I see ONE solution and that is Palin McCain ! My 1st thru 99 choices didn't make the list. Yet I'm not going to roll over and let Obama win because I am pissed my dog ain't in the fight. Vote against Obama. A vote that will make it LESS painful for America.

I didn't even watch the debate. It simply isn't going to change anything. I only watched the VP debates because I had never heard Gov. Palin speak before. I simply don't believe that much has changed because of the debate last night. McCain still sucks... Palin still rocks and so we move forward.

People shouldn't expect that much from McCain. As far as the core conservative vote is concerned, it's all about Palin anyway.

I wrote this the other day and I'll write it again here now...

McCain ought to be gratefull for Governor Palin because she is the ONLY reason we're voting for his worthless ass.

I really don’t see how, if McCain loses (even if by a landslide) this somehow ends Palin’s political career. I can’t help but think that serious folks in the Republican party have been seeing the energizing force she is and are imagining how she will only get better over time.

The only one who’s career ends with a McCain loss is McCain (and, well, maybe a whole lot of American taxpayers : >{ )

what the hell is wrong with people......

John McCain will be our next president and Sarah Palin will be our vice president....

those boys on Iwo Jima or Normandy beach would have turned and swam back to the boat if they had this wimpy attitude .....

when the American Revolution took place, approx 30%of the population was for it, 30% wanted the Tories to win, and 30% sat on the sidelines...

if he had today's populace, George Washington would have sunk in the Trenton River...

pitiful!

Zogby’s latest polling shows no significant difference between the two at this point.

Obama was RAISED a Muslim. His father and stepfathers were Muslims. His NAME is Muslim. He MUST have been at one time a Muslim in his childhood.

Sharia Law calls for DEATH for any Muslim who converts to another religion.

Yet radical Muslims support this guy? WHY??? Is it perhaps because his “conversion” was a farce or erally non-existant??

I am heading down to the McCain office right now....I've ordered signs from Goptrunk and still haven't got them....

last time I was there, the signs were very steadily going out the door.....

donate what you can...volunteering most important....and pray....

Thank God that McCain is holding on and surging and, thank Sarah Palin for making this the most interesting campaign in the history of our nation.....

McCain and Sarah will go down as the dynamic duo....steady and serious and passionate and principled....that took down the driveby media and the leftist messiah....

“My question was whether how far you are willing to take this strategy. You didn’t answer. If there wasn’t a “useful probablity” that McCain would kick the bucket, would you still vote for him?”

It’s a very tough question, which has dogged me for a long time.
Now i can only examine it case-by-case.

One good candidate on the ticket this year

When I was at the Headquarters yesterday, there was a steady line and I was there for about 2 hours, I am sure it continued until they closed.

I like your quote "Dynamic Duo" title for McCain and Palin, and you are correct this is the most exciting and interesting campaign in my time and probably the history of our country.

Sara is non stop ENERGY and wit. The media can'tt keep up with her, nor do they know how to defeat her. She takes their PIES and throws them right back in the faces and we all get a laugh.

Kinda reminds me of scripture, "What saten intends for bad, God will make Good" Love it.

American patriots are putting their lives on the line in Iraq and Afganistan to protect and defend this nation and our freedom. The least we can do is fight to give them a Commander in Chief that isn’t a treasonous Muslim Manchurian Candidate, no better than an Al Qaeda operative, that wants to destroy us from within. Each of us can do no less to defend our country from domestic enemies aka Liberals, Hussein Obama and his shrew, and the biased human waste in the mainstream media. Fight Freepers Fight!!! ...

Preach it, ETR!!

Astroturfing is faking a grassroots effort.

Obama’s campaign manager, David Axelrod is a noted practicioner of the art, e.g. setting up a fake “concerned citizens” group that works on the behalf of the local power company that wants regulators to approve a rate hike. It is a time-tested ploy, as you probably know, and not unique to Axelrod.

I think a lot of us use it as shorthand for any seemingly organized effort to disrupt or demoralise conservatives, e.g. waves of concern trolls on every site all “coincidentally” chiming in with their worries that McCain is mean, Palin is a dope, or the election is over. That is not to say that all who profess those views are provacateurs, or even that they are all receiving marching orders every time they do it. It just seems to be a pretty good rule of thumb that whenever alot of people you’ve never seen before are suddenly so helpfully expressing their concern or dispair, it is not an accident.

Great attitude, there...just...f*ing GREAT. LOVE it when our side starts sounding like cheese-eating surrender-monkey Europeans...given the chance to EXCEL at surrendering, they take the even LOWER road and just go directly to CRINGING.

What a useless, worthless WEASEL...

I can just imagine how OUR people at Valley Forge would have been, had they this loser's attitude...freezing their asses off, no shoes, starving, waiting for a British attack (that thankfully never came)..."Gee. it's really cold, those Government lobsterback troops are REEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY REEEAAAALLY tough, I'm hungry, this is hopeless...let's just go home..."

Or hey, how about at if he was at Iwo Jima..."man, that's a looooooooooooong way up there...and they're still shooting at us....it's not like we're Marines or something like that, you know....? Let's just kind of hang that flag down low here, so we don't draw fire...nobody will care..."

Thanks, reader, for your unflagging support...just, really...you remind me of that guy in the movie "Aliens" - "That's IT!!! Game OVER, man...Game OVER!!!!"

Reach down, prove you HAVE a pair, and COWBOY THE F*CK UP.

No wonder the commies keep winning; some on our frigging side keep turning into no-balls wussies.

What a pathetic, ball-less excuse for a man...hope his father is PROUD of the effeminate whining wreckage his loins produced.

To quote Sam Adams: "If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. "

Probably best to weed out those that can't hack right now, because it's going to get a LOT tougher down the road a piece IF OComma gets in, and pulling up a yard sign will be the LEAST of that person's problems...

But then again...with his attitude, he'll probably go Frenchy-Frenchy-Frenchmen and start collaborating..."VichyBama"...

What a pathetic loser. And he's right about one thing - I weep for HIS children too.

Squantos, I’ll be fighting to the bitter end in this election as you say we must, but this fight, by its very definition, is disheartening on two very grave fronts:

It’s as though the leftists/socialists/globalists among us have finally realized that they can impose whatever ‘rule by edict’ they like on the American citizenry, and there will no longer be sufficient outrage to stop them. Those who are outraged are being drowned out by media who refuse to report, to the generally uninformed masses, the abominable nature of this unprecedented, irreversible power grab, and who choose instead to instill the fear into the electorate that, without granting more power to the government, our life savings will de-materialize before our eyes.

Our voices, and our votes, are becoming irrelevant. The grotesque abuse of power has gained such momentum, and the ignorance of the vast majority of the public has reached such epidemic proportion, that I believe anyone not feeling pretty much helpless right now is suffering a disconnect with reality.

As I said before, I have not ‘given up’. But I have been a student of politics for nearly forty years, and have taken part in much activism – wearing out significant shoe leather in the process – over those four decades, and I have never experienced the terrifying sense of fatalism that I feel as this election approaches.

The American electorate, fearful for their economic future, have allowed themselves to be indoctrinated into the belief that democrats can handle economic issues better than republicans.

Adolf Hitler believed, and urged his ministers of propaganda to always remember, that the receptivity of the masses is limited, their intelligence is small, and they respond well to slogans. The italicized sentence above would have made him proud!

And this simple slogan may well prove to be what heralds Barack Obama’s ascension to the Presidency of the United States, and leader of the free world.

Most tragic of all is the fact that, as bad as our (and the world’s) current economic crisis is, that crisis pales in comparison to the fact that millions of lives will be lost, and millions more will live under the iron fist of tyranny, if Barack Obama becomes leader of the free world. One of the most evil and deceitful men since Adolf Hitler will have been placed in a position where he is expected to defend that which he abhors.
