I am particularly interested in what he did at Columbia....when he lived just a quarter of a mile from Ayers. (Interesting that they both then ended up in Chicago, huh?)

Shouldn’t this information be available in Chicago-area newspaper archives? You can steal microfiche but you cannot scrub it.

ELECTORAL SUCCESS TO DATE

Since its founding in 1992, the New Party chapters have backed roughly 300 candidates - and more than 200 have won their races. Roughly half of our candidates are women; more than a third are people of color.

Illinois: Danny Davis (U.S. House of Representatives, 1996, 1998), Miguel Del Valle (Illinois State Senate, 1998), Willie Delgado (Illinois State Legislature, 1998), Barack Obama (State Legislature, 1996), Michael Chandler (Chicago City Council , 1995), , Patricia Martin (Cook County Judge, 1996).

I wonder whether Bill Ayres was a member in 1996.

THAT IS A VERY INTERESTING QUESTION...

This is the kind of thing that the left loves and it only alarms people like us. Hopefully some undecided voters will be.

This needs to be reported by an MSM source, so McCain’s camp can reference it, and Obama’s camp has to answer to it. That the NYT had the Ayers whitewash story was huge, as Palin could cite the Gray Lady. Those MSM sources that breathlessly reported Palin’s AIP contact need to be directed kicking and screaming to this.

Thanks for the work on this. However, can you post what that party supports, as well?

Will the MSM report this with the fervor they showed reporting that Sarah Palin was a member of the Alaska Independence Party?
