PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE #2 LIVE THREAD
10/07/08

Posted on 10/07/2008 2:01:24 PM PDT by TornadoAlley3

While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

The problem is he intends to get the government into the loan business— buying and restructuring loans to keep people in houses they can’t afford to be in in the first place.

So, do you think Obama is also falsely in the lead?

I've haven't seen you around lately so I thought there might be something wrong.

Thanks for thinking of me. Trust me, I've been so cranky that, really, you don't want me around. LOLOLOL

She looks like the MGM lion.

How cute!

These are my furry kids.
Lucky

Hello Kitty

She needs health care. Maybe Barack Obama will call for universal pet care.

Nothing would surprise me! The left makes it sound like if Obama is elected everyday will be sunny and 82 degrees with rainbows, free everything while we all dance in the streets from sheer joy.

I dont know whether it was masters or doctorate but it must have been one of them because she went off to Indonesia for her field work for a long time. That just doesnt sound like a B.A. to me.

I swear, my grandfather would have worked three jobs before he accepted a single food stamp from the govt.

It’s a voting block I suppose. Did it seem to you that Obama was struggling?

Yes, he seemed very programmed. So I guess that when a question didnt fit what he was prepped to say he struggled to make it fit.

I really felt that McCain did a much better job of answering the questions. Bambi was more evasive.

What jerks liberals are. I heard Reuters wanted her glasses searched for a hidden ear piece, they were convinced she would have the answers fed to her..

Thanks for the cat info. I’m sure living in this humidity, Sasha has arthritis. Maine coon cats are so boney compared to typical alley cats.

I can't imagine you cranky, but I'll take your word for it ;-)

Hey--here's something that might help you feel better: your favorite Secret Service agent will be on the Dose tonight, wearing Terminator-style sunglasses :)

I just donated 1500 bucks to Mccain today...cash money in the names of my 3 boys..I can even ping freepers who know I don’t make this up

Right on that.

I march, I rally, I counter rally, I freep - the pics and threads are here as proof.

Vouch for that too, as I was there with you for much of it. Good times flipping off the unwashed brainwashed.

I have a spot on a 40,000 traffic count lot in front of a turn into a WalMart/Loews. I’ve offered to the GOP here to put a up a Mac billboard...called them over and over...crickets....see what I mean. Bush 2004 and Ed Bryant had their’s up there in 24 hours

This lackadaisacal response to free help (and his performance in the last debate) tends to make me suspect that our "reach across the aisle" candidate has already struck a deal, convinced by traitors that he has no real chance. McCain has to reach into the gumption and faith that got him through Vietnamese torture and SCREAM "Damned if I'll let a snot-nosed Commie bastard beat me in the most important fight in my life!" John needs too light some fires under some asses ASAP and INSPIRE people with what an Obama regime will cost them and how further taxation will prevent America from bouncing back from this setback that Obama had a real hand in.

McCain's only option to win this with scant days to go is by hammering harsh truths while building bad blood with those "across the aisle". He has to realize that they screw him at every opportunity with nary a thought and consider him a fool whenever he goes along with their proposals. McCain has to BE Presidential to be Presidential.

So are the trolls mcCainiacs, or are they those who would dare criticize McCain?

>>>Canada! Darn, those winters are cold! But that free health care will sure come in handy.<<<

LOL..Gonna be a long time on that warm street vent...and crowded too.

Last time in Canada, I talked with a lady that needed orthoscopic surgery on a knee. Because it wasn't a "critical surgery" case, they had initially scheduled her 6 months out.

Just before the 6 months was up, they called her and said it would be another 4 months before they would get to her.

That's probably why lots of Canadians that can afford it come down to Seattle for anything more complicated than something asprin can handle.

he did win the popular vote

By 0.5%, not 8%. Big difference...like 16x difference.
