Sarah Palin: Obama's 'left-wing agenda'
Chicago Trib ^ | 10/7/08 | Mark Silva

Posted on 10/07/2008 11:29:45 AM PDT by pissant

Sarah Palin, waging the Republican Party's presidential campaign in a state that she and John McCain count on for victory, kept up an assault today on Democratic rival Barack Obama's association with William Ayers, a Chicago education professor and onetime radical war protester in the Sixties.

Palin also accused Obama of campaigning with "a left-wing agenda packaged to look mainstream.'' And, Palin accused Obama of lying - or, as she put it today, a lack of "truthfulness.''

"One of Barack Obama's supporters is Bill Ayers, an unreprentant domestic terrorist,'' Palin said at a campaign rally this morning in Florida, home to 27 electoral votes, where the polls portray an election contest far more competitive than Republicans thought it would be.

"Now, our opponent's campaign is claiming for the first time that Barack Obama wasn't aware of Ayers' radical background,'' said Palin - though Obama has denounced Ayers for his militant Weather Underground activities in the 1960s.

I keep seeing this asserted by the MSM. Could anyone provide me a pointer to when/where/how he "denounced Ayers"?

The only thing I've ever heard is "he's just a guy in my neighborhood who did all of these things when I was 8".

Obama Campaign Denounces Kurtz To a Much Greater Extent Than Ayers.—

As some of you may remember, I previously explained why I didn’t put too much stock in the stories about Barack Obama’s ties to Bill Ayers, a position for which I received some positive comments at Huffington Post and elsewhere. I concluded:

It seems to me that Obama’s serving on the board of the Woods Fund for a few years with a former member of the Weather Underground is not fundamentally different from my serving for more than a decade on a law faculty with one [ie, Bernadine Dohrn].
-——snip

Barack Obama’s campaign hasn’t advertised this a great deal this week, but the campaign’s “Action Wire” has been waging large-scale campaigns against critics. That includes tens of thousands of e-mails to television stations running Harold Simmons’ Bill Ayers ad, and to their advertisers — including a list of major automobile and telecommunications companies.

And tonight, the campaign launched a more specific campaign: an effort to disrupt the appearance by a writer for National Review, Stanley Kurtz, on a Chicago radio program [hosted by University of Chicago sociologist, Milt Rosenberg, on WGN]. Kurtz has been writing about Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers, and has suggested that papers housed at the University of Illinois at Chicago would reveal new details of that relationship.

Now if only McCain would join in the McCain campaign we might actually be able to save this nation from a Marxist takeover.

Yea you could say that. It's not rocket science. Just paying attention is all that is required.

In a YouTube video, Ayers and Dohrn said they’d do it all again.

The writers of the Trib sort of have to spin this story. They all remember what happened to fellow Tribune reporter Jake Lingle. One .38 slug in the back of the head, as he was walking thru the Randolf St. tunnel to the IC Railroad tracks.

Remember that just because Al Capone is gone doesn't mean that Chicago still isn't fully mobbed up.

The Chicago Outfit and the Chicago Machine have been in bed with each other since an hour after Ft. Dearborn was built.
