A new SurveyUSA poll in Virginia shows Sen. Barack Obama leading Sen. John McCain by ten points, 53% to 43%.
Since a similar poll conducted just after the Republican convention, McCain has gone from up by 2 to down by 10.
Key finding: McCain no longer leads in any region of the state.
I think we cannot underestimate the impact of this financial meltdown, pure and simple.
The GOP is being exclusively blamed and they are not getting their story out. The media has installed a lead shield to attempt to blunt any real comprehension by the mostly-oblivious voting public.
McCain is being bloodied.
If he does not break with his tradition and speak specifically, forcefully and repeatedly in directing attention to the true facts, that in fact, the Democrats were the primary culprits in creating and perpetuating the entire debacle, I feel he is done.

This poll is a joke. Sample

“McCain no longer leads in any region of the state.”
I don’t believe that.

Trying to silence negative ads about obama in MO.
Trying to silence the NRA adds.
Even his posters resemble socialist leaders.
These types of polls are critical right now for a very specific reason - to influence the undecideds and tip their vote towards Obama. This election will be decided on who gets more of them to vote for their side. So far, we’re losing.
Unfortunately, there are several on here who are doing just that.
I see the Doom-and-Gloom Drama Queen Club on here every day declaring rubbish like "This election is over," "McCain is toast," and "Get ready for President Obama."
It's discouraging to see how many people are so naive that they're allowing themselves to be manipulated by the media and skewed polling data.
I for one, will not give up. The only numbers that count are the ones tallied when the polls close on November 4.
That poll is a big outlier. Obama could be up but he ain’t up ten. What is clear though is that Virginia is a big battleground and the election could come down to that state. We can’t take that traditional red state for granted anymore what with the explosive population growth in more liberal Northern Virginia and with their hispanic population exploding. It WILL be a dogfight and all Virgina posters better get out and vote and get all their (non-lib!) friends to do the same. I have a feeling that that’ll be one of the races that goes deep into the night before it gets called. Every vote will be big. So get to work!
Dont forget there are a lot of obama trolls around
Obama Camp phase I is out...they are all over!
and Brainwashed!
There is something either seriously wrong with that poll, or seriously wrong with that state.
“I am not believing ANY of these polls, if the media is in the tank you can bets be sure the polls are tilted to Obama. No way people are this stupid. Makes no sense.”
I think the numbers are likely high but there is no question that there has been movement away from McCain. Being from the incumbent party at a time when the economy is in trouble is not easy and this election is tailor made for an opposition party. Thankfully they have a beatable candidate. I suspect the numbers will swing back to where they were near the convention as McCain ties Obama more to Ayers.
You’ve hit it. Just check the tracking. Markets down, McCain down. Turmoil in the economy is a plus for The Savior Messiah. McCain will be blamed for any trouble with the economy/markets because he is a ‘Pub and the party in the WH always gets the blame. The polls are volatile because the markets are volatile. If this keeps up to election day I think McCain better have a concession speech ready very early that night.
The internals of the poll has Obama getting only 86% of the African american. If Obama gets only 86% of the AA vote, either the poll has a higher weight of AA, or Obama is in some serious trouble.
Good post.
It’s the 55% college grad that seems odd to me.
btw....this is a BS poll and they know it....
McCain and Palin are winning big all over the country!
a Sept newbie....welcome.....be sure to donate at the freepathon....we all do....

I wouldn’t count on that. The blacks will go at least as strong from Obama as they have for anyone else and they will vote in big numbers.
