I`ll keep this brief.I think we need a freeper minutemens squad that`ll be ready to respond to any october suprises,ours or their`s.We need freepers willing to compile and share a listing of links to freindly media,talk radio,Fox Cable,web sites and anyone who`ll listen(individuals excluded).When our side hits,we respond with support.When the Rats hit we counter with facts and criticism.What do you,my fellow freepers,think of the idea?Comments,both pro and against are welcome.

Good advice from the thread:
Please keep in mind that most newspapers request that letters be 200 to 250 words or less before they will publish them. A name, address, and telephone number must be included. They will likely call you to verify that you wrote the letter. Although, I have also been asked to verify via e-mail from some newspapers. If they decide to print the letter or article, they will not publish the address or telephone.
Also, if concentrating on "swing states", don't forget to include the border state's newspapers. For instance, people like myself, who live near a border state, will possibly read the neighboring city in another state's newspaper.

I needed a day to ponder your question because
my first reaction is that Free Republic already
fulfills the role of a conservative first
response team to counter anti-American media.
However... Like the bikers who protect military
funerals, we need to find a way to mobilize our
forces to protect the voting process ... to
ensure it against fraud wherever we can.
I have been praying for God to send His heavenly
army to every polling place. Now I need to ask
God to thwart the problems in Ohio with early voting.

I’ll second nomad! I too am fighting mad because if we get beat it will be to voter fraud in Ohio, Detroit, St louis and Milwaukee as usual, Probably Chicago more then ever and at every lib institution of standard and higher Ed.

Now, just take that list and copy it to a text file (use Notepad), available from your start menu. Each time someone asks to be added, just add "; " to the end.
Learn about text selection (clicking and dragging with mouse cursor), copy (control-c) and paste (control-v).
I felt your question deserved a response, and hope this is of some help.
A ping list is easy.
Just keep a list of the members separated by a semicolon.
When you want to ping the list, just do a reply as normal and cut and paste your list in the "To:" box on the reply form.

A question for the military set here:
What are some names of military units that are all about fast response—the first to respond when the enemy moves against them? I’m thinking smaller, special forces type units or groups.
