Dear Lord, can we cut the negative crap around here? If our conservative ideology has taught us anything its that you and I, the private sector people, can withstand and fix anything in our economy. We (or our fathers/grandfathers) beat the depression, Hitler, scandal, Malaise, Carter, Clinton, Soros (oh yes, George, some of us see your hand trying to slap Adam Smith's away from time to time) and by God the free market will even be able to fix this mess and the bigger messes the bailout may cause. That is, unless we bury our heads in the sand and cry woe is us, this time the problem is too big.
I'm sorry, but thats not how we do things. That 777 point thud we heard the other day was a lot of the cowards leaving the market and good riddance to them. Unreasoned panic is the only thing that can make this a truly cataclysmic event, and unfortunately its in huge supply here on FR!
No man, I’m talking about the GENERAL PUBLIC’s perception. They will be more impressed by someone who can spout facts (and whom will NOT be corrected later by the MSM).
I can’t stand Biden myself, but he did a better job last night.
You seem to be cherry picking your posts. Now why is that?
And how many questions did the moderator ask on energy, one of Palin's strengths? Or abortion, or guns. Zero, which perhaps explains why Palin felt the need to bring them up. I'll bet you didn't think of that thought, did you genius?
You come on a thread about cutting the negativity and all you do is whine and cry.
Noob, you are too nice....I say, "Pussies, pussies, I am surrounded by pussies....stand up and fight like a man!"
Biden’s style of speaking was “seminar informational” style. Sarah’s style was “command and control” style and it was very effective. She wins on style and leadership.
Joe said a lot of stuff that was flat out wrong so we are going to have to disqualify him.
Well sure, anyone should be impressed by someone who can recall actual facts and figures. Biden didn’t do that. Far from it.
As you know, another thing the general public looks at is the candidate’s style. Senator Biden didn’t make any huge blunders that he is known for. I thought it was funny that he said he’s been at this for over 30 years and was not going to change. Governor Palin didn’t crumble under the pressure and took the opportunity to speak to American’s in a folksy manner. Heck, even the pundits on NBC were guffawing over her and one of the “independent” voters who was leaning toward Obama called her a breath of fresh air.
And she flat out said that she was going to respond the way she wanted- NOT the way Senator Biden or Moderator Iffel wanted. As someone in the general audience, I thought that rocked.
Take a look at most who have negative comments and you'll notice that they signed up to FR in the last year or so...
What does that mean?
Make your own judgement!!!
You must have been watching all the MSM comments afterwards to come up with this! If you had of just watched the DEBATE and focused on HER and what she had to say,you would have known that she won, hands down.
I am amused by all the “noob” comments, been on here with this ID since 97, helping the good fight against Clinton, and a couple years before that with another id...
I try to listen much, speak little... however I just blew a fuse at all the chicken little comments.
Listen, the bailout is fact, the only thing we can do now is each one of us get our little part of the economy chugging so well that we make a profit on the 700 Bln.
