My remaining brother and sister are lifetime democrats and they are voting for McCain. They are in the late 80’s and veterans of WWII...

Always loved Toby Keith, always thought he was one of us, even though hes a lifelong Democrat. I guess I likened him to be a Zell Miller-type of Democrat. Its nice to see that he has seen the light. There are probably lots of "good" Democrats out there, but they have been marginalized and silenced by the hard left which now controls the party.

Don’t worry there are plenty of liberals in country music to make up for Toby: Willie Nelson, Sugarland, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill are just a few who’ve lost my business due to their embrace of the Marxist party (aka Democrat).

He did come out for Fauxbama, and now he’s come to his senses.

Keith just noticed that we are at war with the terrorists.
Wonder what all those Hannity rallies were all about.
Silly me, I thought they were to raise funds for children of killed in action troops.

I agree with you- and Toby Keith. One of my favorite songs by Alabama Song of the South has a line: "Daddy was a veteran, a southern democrat- they oughta get a rich man to vote like that".
There may have been a time when that was the case but now the Democrat party is almost wholly urban (in voting) and internationale in outlook. The Dems are dismissive and condescending to the south and flyover country.

I take it you don’t listen to country music much.

My comment referred to his comment that he just noticed that he doesn’t agree with the dem philosophy.

At one time I considered voting for Obama. McCain is my senator and I have had no strong love for him. It was different when it looked like a race between two liberals. When it became between a liberal and a socialist, I had to go with McCain. I have known people who were for Obama and changed their minds over the company he keeps.
