FRs running much slower than the other debate night and I can’t even find a serious debate topic, just the drinking game which I have no interest in on a Thursday night. Double posts are breaking out all over as well - I’m wondering if a Denial of Service attack is in progress? I wouldn’t put it past the opposition - tonight’s debate is a crucial one. The media have hyped it beyond anything I’ve ever seen for a VP contest.

So far, no fireworks, no mention of Ifill’s book deal. Palin is controlling the answers saying she may not give the answers the moderator or her opponent want. Biden has agreed with Gov. Palen once already in the mold of Obamma last week and Joe’s claiming his clean-coal comments were “taken out of context”. He’s sticking to his script of attacking McCain at every opportunity, but Sarahcuda hasn’t taken the bait. She’s doing well so far imho, that means the media will declare Biden the winner.

Good evening, all!

Watching the debate, but I came over to the PC because it's putting me to sleep as they both ignore the questions and just spout rehearsed speeches.

The whole site ground to a halt for me and I had a rash of Proxy Errors. Something’s up for sure, the debate topic has just over 30 posts and we were up to three hubdred by this time in the first Presidential debate. I’ve switched over to the beta link to post this and that server is moving much faster. Let me know if ya need it and I’ll Freemail from beta land.

Thanks for the updates....I'm at least listening on radio. I loved the part where she gave a "shout out" to the school where her brother teaches (6th grade), right here in Anchorage.

Imho, she did great. No gaffes, and several times she took the openings Joe left her. Joe didn’t mess up either, but no one was watching Joe unless he melted down, lol. The 90 second format was awful, but she did fine. What struck me most was Joe trying to relate to the ordinary people he knows and runs into at Home Depot ... not Sarah, she portrayed herself and her family as ordinary people. A huge difference there, subtle, but a real clincher imho.

Talking heads and focus groups are almost unanimous that Sarah won. It’s unmans that she was “better than expected”.
