I've had it with the Left and I've had it with "conservatives" who haven't had it with the Left

I'm posting because it is indicative of the anger in lots of reader email I'm seeing:

The Ifill issue is front and center. Last night on Brit Hume's program, the consensus was that they all knew Gwen and she is a swell person, and of course she wouldn't do anything partisan. Just where the hell are these people coming from? Day in and day out, out here in the real world we see obvious bias, obvious double standards and yet the Republicans and a lot of the "conservative" media either don't see it, or if they do, they let it slide.

A few examples. Obviously the current flap of Gwen Ifill, Tom Brokaw, Jim Lehrer as moderators for presidential debates but never an O’Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh or Brit Hume. Why not?

A special prosecutor is appointed to investigate firings of 9 prosecutors but none was or will ever be appointed to find out why Clinton fired EVERY single prosecutor when he took office?? Republicans stand mute on this and it is infuriating.

Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Waters and the entire Black Caucus defend the running of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and prevent the very reforms which might have avoided the mess we are in today. Yet the MSM and Republicans are silent. Why aren't these guys investigated, forced to step down and prosecuted as was Tom Delay?? Again silence from the White House, McCain and other Republicans.

These are just a few of the things that infuriate conservatives outside the beltway and New York City. We have the Republican Party asking us for money, yet I haven't seen a single penny spent on demanding the Democrats adhere to the same standard Republicans are required to meet. Being a punching bag for liberals who constantly lie about you, constantly use inflammatory language (hate speech in some cases) and use any means necessary to gain power is no way to win elections. Yet this is the path the Republican Party takes time and time again. To say I am mad as hell about the Dems and the response of the Republicans to these liberal attacks is an understatement.

O’Reilly has an article on his web site that says “Conservative group drops Ayers, Rezko and Wright from their ad.” Why I ask?? These guys are terrorists, crooks and as anti-American as they come, yet those in a position to speak out remain mute!!

Enough. I don’t give a damn if the Fox media folk know Gwen and say she is a swell person. I don’t care if McCain thinks the Dems in the Senate and congress are his “good friends”, they sure as hell aren’t my good friends. In fact they work day in and day out to destroy all I hold dear, and tax me to pay for those in society who are too lazy and/or stupid to care for themselves....

That is a hazard of membership in a small group. They all know each other personally, probably mostly are nice to each other, so they just can't imagine that the person they enjoyed a dinnerparty with last weekend could really be a nasty-ass anti-american bigot at heart. Same with congressmen and other pols.

If these idiots want to see Ifill's bias tonight, just wait till she asks a good hard question about energy issues. Hint: Don't hold your breath.

C'mon, Gwen is just getting her equivalent of her "40 acres and a mule". We OWE her. Nevermind that the 40AAM is in the form of a better performing book if she's performing for fish in the SeaWorld Orca Tank for Obamarama. She's using her wits (what little there are), her position(s) as a 'journalist' [must note here that this term is very, very loosely applied with some very evident trepidation].

She's a hack and not a very good one at that. For all her 'blackness' she's as transparent and vacuous as the scholarly work she exhibits each time she sits in front of a camera. In short, a lightweight who, if not for the color of her skin, wouldn't even be presenting the news in a high school.

I reached my boiling point 2 nights ago. I'm done now, I'm just cranky and resigned to fate.

The fun starts about the time Ifils book is released.

Seems to me that for balance, Rush Limbaugh ought to moderate the next Presidential debate. I’m sure the liberals wouldn’t have any problem with that. He’d be balanced too, just like Ifil.

Worth repeating over and over again!

Yeah, I notice that sometimes about the Fox pundits. While they generally seem reasonable, there have been occasions when the media itself is at issue when they circle the wagons and sort of defend the honor of their journalistic trade.

I'm trying to remain positive ...but its infuriating. We can't even rely on the guys on Fox. Oh and I'm really starting to think this whole financial crisis is the “October Surprise” - designed and flawlessly implemented by the left to make SURE Obama gets elected. The Republican passively watch it all go down. Oh yea, I'm trying to remain positive.

“I don’t care if McCain thinks the Dems in the Senate and congress are his “good friends””

I was taught you can judge a man by the fiends he keeps. By that standard there are very few people in DC that I would want to be seen with.

By the same standard, Obama, should already be in the Federal Pen.

On the other hand if you can’t speak ill of evil then you shouldn’t run for office especially if you want to represent me. So McCain should learn to shout real loud/fast and nasty about his friends. The nasty is just what liberals call the truth.

OK Obama stinks but the polls show they still prefer him to McCain. McCain has to figure out why before it is too late for him.

“That is a hazard of membership in a small group.”

Yes. The Fox panel not wanting to bad-mouth Gwen Ifill, who will tonight sit on a chair that should be aflame with the heat of the obvious conflict of interest she’ll bring to tonight’s debate. GW not criticizing the Dems. And on.

The example that bothers me, though, is John McC playing nice (in public) with everyone in the federal government. He’d probably say that he has to maintain good relations to work with them. I think that, more than the people of AZ, or the people of the US, the people around him in Cesspool Central are his “primary group,” and he doesn’t want to make openings for any of *us* to criticize them. Phooey!

There are no conservative commentators on Fox News.

The conservative voice isn’t being heard on Talk Radio anymore either.

Feminism and the resulting requirement for “consensus” rules.

When Gwen Ifill was moderating the Republican convention for PBS on the night Sarah Palin was introduced, she looked like she had sucked a lemon.

I think Ann Coulter should “moderate” the final debate.

Let's be honest...

This is how WE'VE felt for too many years to count.

WE are fighting for the soul of our beautiful, noble country.
And year after year, we've been let down by those of “us” who have a public voice.

We are told we must be civil so that we don't “stoop” to their level. We watch other “conservatives” address CRIMINALS as “My esteemed colleague...”. We have to listen as Gwen Ifill is praised as having "journalistic integrity". I'm sorry? If Gwen Ifill had any integrity, wouldn't she have recused herself from moderating this debate?

So, it's come to this...not only am I so tired of "conservatives" defending Leftists, I am sick of "conservatives" despairing of other "conservatives".

This is no way to win a war.
