Free Republic: It's not the prettiest site you'll ever visit, but if your news tastes run to the conservative side of things, you may quickly get accustomed to Free Republic's sharp daily aggregation of news and commentary on all the hot-button conservative stories and issues of the day. You can post your opinions in the site's active forums, too.

...Free Republic: It's not the prettiest site you'll ever visit, ...Well, if we could get people to post less of these:
And more of these:
then we might be a prettier site.

Interesting that they didn’t link to the FR home page, and their BBC link didn’t work at all.

Thanks. The list of 100 is useful, too. Notice that they put this one first, though?

FreeRepubic - All the news that’s fit to print!

I agree. Free Republic doesn’t have fancy formatting or Java widgets or bloat. It’s stripped-down, fast (recent server troubles excepted), and gets out of your way and lets you see what’s really important—the news and comments. FR is my primary news source now, and has been for years! (And yes, I contribute during FReepathons when I have the money, and hope to do so when things look up for me in a few weeks!)

Interesting that they didnt link to the FR home page...The Freerepublic.com link goes directly to the forum page. You have to click "Free Republic" on the forum page to get to the home page. I like it that way as a visitor can immediately see the list of current articles and the sidebars with categorized articles.
