I purchased my first new car today...experienced absolutely no problem. BTW...I’m 19 years old, a student, a good F/T job and excellent credit.

"The next POTUS (McCain) can undo this IF we get more conservative Senators and Reps."

He had everything to lose by voting for it, and nothing to lose by voting against it. His "magic veto pen" is worthless now.

McCain lost the Presidency tonight.

Sorry.

I think we are screwed. I talk to people about this election and I try to tell them Democrats are the ones that caused this mess. And I give tell them all the details, and it goes in one ear and out the other. They dont seem to care, they all think “getting Republicans out” is going to solve all the problems.

This country is done!

The scary thing about a tax revolt is that it won't matter.

Remember... we will be borrowing at least 50% of the money from foreigners who might continue buying our T- bonds. Until they decide they don't want them anymore. Then interest rates go to the moon to try and attract more foreign money. Our economy will suffer with very high interest rates. Remember 1981?

Yeah, and Chambliss is up for reelection this year. His Democrat opponent, Jim Marshall, opposes the bill.

“He had everything to lose by voting for it, and nothing to lose by voting against it.”

Hundred percent wrong. If McCain voted against it, what do you think the media would do? (Hint: look at Obama’s vote)

I’ll let you figure it out.

Our pretty young conservative Alaskan is against whatever she's being told to be against

Save it for the debate, Joe.

“the goal for McCain is to get the economy story off the lead of the news. This is the most expedient way to do that. Fix it later if need be by Executive Orders and such”

Sounds logical.

John McCain is a maverick.
Barack Obama is an agent for change.
War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.
(Add your “truth equation” here.)

Damn! When I was 19, I was lucky to have anything with an engine and brakes!

Of course, I was supporting myself. Rent, food, utilites, gas, clothes.... like that.

The pork in the bill makes in indigestible to me, but I can’t help but think there is much more to this tham what we are being led to believe. Yes, the CRA may have started it, but I believe what DeMint said about China and Saudi Arabia. They bought the bad loans and have no interest in the properties secured by the mortgages. They may be threatening to withhold “investment” until we solved the problem. Not much we can do - we have slowly let those countries get us by the short curlies. Remember when we all used to ignore the National Debt as it was just “money we owed ourselves”???

What are you showing them to back your claims? I have the same debates and normally get the "Republicans are the problem line" that the MSM mentions. You would have a better chance with independents.

I have better chances when I take them to websites like Senate.gov and show them that the Republicans tried to save this mess from happening years ago. YouTube is seen as too opininated - anyone can make a movie to enforce their view. MSM websites with stories supporting the conservative view also help - the thing is that they have to be truly mainstream to seem credible.

What amazes me is not one of these numbskulls can balance thier personel check books but we are giving them billions of our tax dollars to throw at a crisis they know they cannot solve and not one of these morons in Washington have requested a sit down with some of the most brilliant economic minds in America for advice and guidance. I guess the saying “ I am the most intelligent guy in this room, just ask me”, holds true.

Who, again, was voting with Bush?

I don’t like this any more than anyone else, but, it was needed to speed things up, faster than the market would have had time to correct.

The real tragedy is that the people responsible are likely to reap the benefits. We are screwed.

Please let me have at least one bowl of rice a day.

Granted. You will enjoy your new job in a Chinese factory, making TVs for your betters in the senate.

Due to the financial crisis, you will be required to pay for your own airline ticket, but do not worry comrade, it will be deducted from your salary, err, I mean rice alotment. But do not worry, a half cup of rice will be fine, you're a bit fat anyway

Thank you for your support, Bush, Obama, Pelosi, McCain

Best Regards,

Dear Leader
