Why are we freaking out? Seriously?

Posted on 09/30/2008 3:55:19 PM PDT by SouthernChick1

Poll averages have Obama up 4%. THAT'S IT! With an unpopular war, an unpopular president, a terrible economic fallout, and the liberal media glorifying Obama, you would think Obama would be up AT LEAST 10%. But he's not. All this favor for the democrats, and all Obama can manage is 4% over John McCain?

Obama is going to lose this election. Handily. And this isn't just some pollyanna post, it's the truth. A bill will get passed, and the roar over the bad economy will fade somewhat. And, in the meantime, McCain will rebound in the polls with the help of PRAYER and PALIN.

Folks, it's going to happen. Obama peaked too early. The closer the election gets, the more people will start taking a serious look at the candidates. And they are not going to elect an inexperienced lightweight in Barack Obama. The Obama Youth will no more sing praises to his majestic name.

When the dust settles, John McCain will be the 44th president of the United States. And Sarah Palin will be his proud Vice President.

This is a fact.

We're worried because McCain lost a nice lead after Palin and the convention in spite of hurricanes and is now disadvantaged by a “crisis” of economic nature.

and Mac seems befuddled and not tuff enough right when he should be and let Obama skate at the first debate

Mac is taking contrary stance to his base on “crisis”...

and they wrapped up Palin....dumb

and he has to get very very nasty in the debate and quit telling about how qualified he is....everyone knows he's the most qualified guy since Adlai Stevenson already

the media will not expose or challenge Obama on shite, he is getting cover for stuff that would tank anyone else...it's a theatre of absurd

that is why are worried....being senatorial and bi partisan is going to lose

mac better nut up and fight like all hell

btw...welcome back, was WA or DC boring as hell?...i bet

;>)

I have bets placed, with 2 to 1 odds and with a 10 point spread. That is, McCain/Palin wins by ten points or I pay out 2 to 1 odds.

And I don't even like McAmnesty

I'll go over the cliff with the flag with this clown. On a good day McCain peaks at about 10%.

Post all the "vanities" you want. Crikey, what are the cranks' problem? If they don't want to read vanities. . . they don't have to click on them.

I love vanity posts. So there.

Welcome to FR, Chick. Glad to see you came in out of the cold.

A “vanity” is simply a thread posted with no attributing story, image or page. It’s nothing more than the poster’s opinion, made into a separate thread rather than merely a reply to someone else on an existing thread.

A vanity is sometimes a mark of someone trying to stir up arguements or flames; we tend to watch those closely.

Keep it up, you’re doing fine!

Maybe you didn't notice that we, I.E. PATRIOTIC AMERICANS AND CONSERVATIVES, are in the fight of our lives in fending off the worst, most serous onslaught against us ever! The cards have been dealt. Shoving your head up your butt and making believe it is some other reality is true won't change that reality!

If you can't be part part of us fighting against that onslaught, against a dangerous MARXIST, GO AWAY! This is not the time to frag those who are on our side, 60%, 70%, or 80%, of the time... UNLESS YOU ARE AN IDIOT!

“All I am saying is, why is Obama only up by 4%?”

I don’t believe he is even up by that much, and I’m the most pessimistic guy on the planet...

I remember 1980...I was 15 back then...BUT very into politics and loved Reagan. There was just something magnetic about the guy. The media hated him to...BUT journalists still did investigative stories on both candidates. There was something about Reagan you just knew he was going to win and win big. You could sense it in the guy. He smiled...he joked...and times were horrible. He talked about America they way it should be and would be. He was inspiring.

McCain is who we have...he’s our only choice. Unfortunately I don’t see another Reagan out there. But speaking of McCain I don’t sense that same enthusiasm from McCain or for McCain that came with Reagan. Reagan was the challenger during a really bad economic and foreign affairs time. He was running against the siting President with horrible approval ratings. You just sensed a landslide.

McCain is the Carter or more like Gerry Ford. He is the fall guy for the unpopular president. He isn’t very inspiring. He doesn’t speak of any ideological movement...in fact his team has been saying the old “conservative V. liberal” is too simple and too childish. The country doesn’t want to hear that stuff anymore. McCain acts like conservatism is a fad....a fad that is over. He couldn’t be more wrong. Conservatism is exactly what we need from him. The reason he has fallen in the polls and I think he has definitely fallen in the polls is because he supports a Karl Marx government takeover of the financial sector. He said the bailout failed because Obama couldn’t bring the democrats on board...instead of why it really failed...BECAUSE IT WAS A LOUSY BILL and America knew it was a lousy communist bill. McCain is tone deaf to American politics.

If the country has a choice between a liberal Democrat and a liberal Republican they will take the Democrat...if they have a choice between a liberal Democrat and an all over the place Republican they default to the Democrat. Believe it or not America admires someone who sticks with their beliefs. Unfortunately I think America is yearning for conservatism....and who’s offering them that? A few select congress people in the House of Representatives. Conservatism wins. As Rush Limbaugh said today...bipartisanship is easy...partisanship is hard. We need partisanship...not bipartisanship. Bipartisanship is what Bush and McCain want more than anything. What Bipartisanship really is is giving in to liberalism.

I am not sure if it’s too late for McCain or not. Palin needs to eat Biden alive tomorrow and give us hope....she could be what saves the last 4 weeks of the election. I think she needs to set the agenda....and convince voters there is conservatism left in the world and it’s contagious.

I can't disagree with your general analysis but Barack Obama is such a uniquely weak candidate that I find it almost impossible to believe he can attain the highest office in the land. If he does prevail then I would believe with all my heart that God has abandoned America. An Obama administration would bring unprecedented chaos within two years of his taking the oath.
