I remember 1980...I was 15 back then...BUT very into politics and loved Reagan. There was just something magnetic about the guy. The media hated him to...BUT journalists still did investigative stories on both candidates. There was something about Reagan you just knew he was going to win and win big. You could sense it in the guy. He smiled...he joked...and times were horrible. He talked about America they way it should be and would be. He was inspiring.

McCain is who we have...he’s our only choice. Unfortunately I don’t see another Reagan out there. But speaking of McCain I don’t sense that same enthusiasm from McCain or for McCain that came with Reagan. Reagan was the challenger during a really bad economic and foreign affairs time. He was running against the siting President with horrible approval ratings. You just sensed a landslide.

McCain is the Carter or more like Gerry Ford. He is the fall guy for the unpopular president. He isn’t very inspiring. He doesn’t speak of any ideological movement...in fact his team has been saying the old “conservative V. liberal” is too simple and too childish. The country doesn’t want to hear that stuff anymore. McCain acts like conservatism is a fad....a fad that is over. He couldn’t be more wrong. Conservatism is exactly what we need from him. The reason he has fallen in the polls and I think he has definitely fallen in the polls is because he supports a Karl Marx government takeover of the financial sector. He said the bailout failed because Obama couldn’t bring the democrats on board...instead of why it really failed...BECAUSE IT WAS A LOUSY BILL and America knew it was a lousy communist bill. McCain is tone deaf to American politics.

If the country has a choice between a liberal Democrat and a liberal Republican they will take the Democrat...if they have a choice between a liberal Democrat and an all over the place Republican they default to the Democrat. Believe it or not America admires someone who sticks with their beliefs. Unfortunately I think America is yearning for conservatism....and who’s offering them that? A few select congress people in the House of Representatives. Conservatism wins. As Rush Limbaugh said today...bipartisanship is easy...partisanship is hard. We need partisanship...not bipartisanship. Bipartisanship is what Bush and McCain want more than anything. What Bipartisanship really is is giving in to liberalism.

I am not sure if it’s too late for McCain or not. Palin needs to eat Biden alive tomorrow and give us hope....she could be what saves the last 4 weeks of the election. I think she needs to set the agenda....and convince voters there is conservatism left in the world and it’s contagious.

I can't disagree with your general analysis but Barack Obama is such a uniquely weak candidate that I find it almost impossible to believe he can attain the highest office in the land. If he does prevail then I would believe with all my heart that God has abandoned America. An Obama administration would bring unprecedented chaos within two years of his taking the oath.
