Could an Obama loss spark race riots? (Let's Vote McCain/Palin And See.)
One News Now ^ | 9/30/2008 | Jim Brown

A political scientist at a Christian college in New York City warns that if Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama loses the election on November 4, race riots could break out in large U.S. cities.

A recent Associated Press-Yahoo News poll suggested Senator Obama's race could cost him up to six percentage points on election night. David Corbin, a politics professor at The King's College, contends there is potential for public riots the night of or after the election, if Obama's lead in the polls does not translate into victory.

"I don't think that's something that we've looked at very closely, and I think that this could be a powder keg here as we get towards that day, given that Senator Obama is an African-American and given that there might be some backlash if he actually loses," Corbin explains.

Corbin notes that seemingly small stories involving O.J. Simpson and Rodney King have brought into play terrible riots in major cities across the U.S. "I think a lot of people are looking to an Obama presidency to affirm the notion that somehow Americans aren't racist and, if for some reason Senator Obama loses, then it's just, 'Oh well, it's said and done. We must be a racist nation,'" Corbin adds.

People who fuel that claim of racism, according to Corbin, do damage to one of Senator Obama's main themes -- moving beyond a red-and-blue, or black-and-white America.

Juan, like Jorge, has spent much of his career 'reaching out' to the other side of the aisle. He has lifted the carpet while the Democraps wield the brooms sweeping their disgrace under the rug.

When this fool spouts off about global warming, solar and wind power, it makes me want to puke. But then what good would that do?

He never opens his mouth about illegal immigration and what it has done and is doing to the nation.

When you claim Teddy (Long Distance Chappaquiddick Swimmer) as you 'good friend' you really have to wonder.

The only thing that the McCain ticket has going for it is Sarah Palin and the only reason I can enthusiastically punch out my chad.

Yep. The West Side and Englewood would warrant the National Guard. And the riots would not only be African Americans, but crazy liberals like Bill Ayers as well.

Obama losing CO or Va by a whisker to give McCain the electoral college would be the worst.

You are correct in stating that our form of government is a Republic not a democracy.
I have yet to hear any of the politicians say this is a Republic.
They only say democracy. They probably don’t know the difference.
Check out the pledge of allegiance:
“To the Republic for which it stands.”

And Arabs. Most of the stores in the poor portions of the South Side (which is most of the South Side) were owned by Palestinians and Jordanians back when I lived in Chi back in the late 90s. Lots of tension between blacks and Arab shopkeepers.

And no, Barry O is NOT EVEN PART Arab (Luos didn't mix with Arabs), so you extra chromosome types (you know who you are) should avoid making your silly genetics comments yet again.

During the Rodney King riots, 75% of the property destroyed belonged to Koreans and Chinese.

I remember. Koreans also owned many ghetto businesses in Chicago (and NY) from the late 60s through the 1990s, but have since moved on to bigger and better things.

The Jordanians and Palestineans (many of the latter being Christians from Ramallah) started buying stores from Jews(!) and, eventually, from Koreans on the south side in the 1970s/80s. Most of them commute from places like Burbank, which is adjacent to SW Chicago.

I will take the chance, but I am on the Frontline. I am in the Chicago area.

I am in the west 'burbs. Next week I pick up a Mossberg 500 with a case of shells. Then my preparations will be complete.

And this is supposed to scare us?

I live near Tulsa, Oklahoma, and in north Tulsa, it's almost a nightly riot - black on black. They don't need an election to justify killing. Too bad, really, because there's lots of good folks live up there. The good 'uns have lost control of their neighborhoods, though, so the whole area is the equivalent of a war zone.

During the "Ice Storms" that afflicted NE Oklahoma, the power company linemen had to call in law enforcement officers to protect them from............pit bulls. Seems, at night, the drug dealers in north Tulsa release all their pit bulls onto the streets to discourage interference in their dealings. Line crews, working round-the-clock, were attacked by the dogs. Police ended up killing over 40 of the dogs, according to a power company employee I know. He also said none of the "good folks" dared go on their own streets at night because of the neighborhood conditions.

Another instance of black/black violence that harms the neighborhood: I live near a town called "Red Bird." It was one of the "all-black" towns established in Oklahoma right after the Civil War. There's only about 13 of them left, and of those, few are really functional. Red Bird has a post office and a "city hall," which adjoins the PO and functions as the city water office. The mayor of Red Bird is a nice guy, but he doesn't have much of a town to govern, and what he has is almost ungovernable - at night - especially on weekends. Red Bird has a volunteer fire department - manned by folks who do not live in Red Bird. None of them black. Word is, on Saturday nights, alarms at a certain house "right by the railroad tracks," are NOT to be answered, because it is the local "crack house," and doesn't appreciate non-customers anywhere near.............

I'm a firm supporter of the 2nd Amendment. I practice my 2nd Amendment rights - and skills. I will defend my home and my family should riots occur due to ANYTHING. My experience has shown that a few idiots will try to take control of any such situation, while the majority of their peers are afraid to confront them.

Note: Me and mine are not their peers. Me and mine are not afraid to confront them, should they invade our domain. Me and mine will exercise our rights and skills with firearms, if necessary, to defend our neighborhood. We're not threatening anyone. Simply a statement of principal.

"All that is necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke -

We will resist being victims................

Very insightful comments. What a disgusting plight when decent citizens are fearful of taking a stroll at night in their own neighborhood.

Crack dealers and nests such as this need cleaning out with flamethrowers. The officially declared War On Terror may be in the Middle East, but the unofficial one is here in our own nation.

America is dying by degrees.
