Boehner speaking (saw on MSNBC). Pelosi apparently gave such a vile, hate-spewing attack of Bush and the Republicans on the House floor, blaming the current financial problems on "Eight years of this administration and its allies in Congress" that, according to one report, the heads of some Repubs who heard it 'exploded' and they 'went berserk.' The attack was so ugly that several dozen Dems bolted, too.
That smarmy, bug-eyed old Stalinist ("Riches for me; misery for you") just couldn't keep her bile bottled-up long enough for the vote. All bets are off now. Source on CNBC now saying DOW will drop an additional 2500 points by the end of the week. And meanwhile, Obama is 8 points ahead of the feckless McCain.
Better the dow to drop than the dollar.
Buck up brothers and sisters. The Republic lives.
Rush is covering this now.
Time has come to fix our problems, not to place blame. There is plenty of time to find blame late and then to prosecute. Someone needs to tell Pelosi that the President is not running for office. If she really cares, then open the door to investigation of Democrats and Republicans.
Pelosi WAS nasty.
Pelosi put B in itch.
We can thank the dedicated Americans who called and emailed their representatives not to vote for this monster.
Cramer on CNBC now. ‘If we don’t do a bail-out right now, the Western banking system will collapse and the world’s economy will be destroyed.’ Ouch. Is it just me, or do you also see that the worst horror-mongers all have huge personal fortunes on Wall Street in jeapordy?
Pelosi was a jerk in California, and she’s a jerk now. But the general public is never going to know this or care.
Sure, we can get upset. But remember that if this gets played into a “Republicans got their feelings hurt, so they tanked the economy”, we’ll be looking at a repeat of 1995 where the Republicans got blamed for the shutdown because Gingrich was “upset” that he had to get out of the back of the airplane.
Pelosi has a majority in the House; the Dims shoudl just pass by party-line vote.
Yes...Yes....Yes....It is about time that attacked that beech.
Boehner, Blunt and Cantor are on the right side of this issue. I’m not sure what you’re ranting about.
Dems split because nancy was ugly? LOL If that were the case they would have left long ago.
Maybe some Republicans got angry and bolted for that reason, but Dems bolted because Americans don’t support the plan and didn’t want to vote for it without Republican cover.
A lot of Dems are bailing on Pelosi on this too, they can’t make it a party line vote.
We need to pick off a few Blue Dog Dems...this is outrageous. This along with clearly a Fascist presidential candidate, they better get on the right side of this quick.
Pelosi took her politics wayyyy to far and I commend the house minority for crippling the majority. If the majority was certain...it’d have passed.
I feel watching Eric Cantor was like watching the ghost of a forefather fighting for the soul of the country and not taking any bully crap from the majority! WTG, Cantor!
Pelosi looks like she has been crying!!!!!
