I hope people show up and give Jack some love and money. Levin is a horrid Senator. Jack's biggest hurdle is name recognition. MI could go McCain/Palin this year. Any help you give to Jack can only help the whole ticket. He is a real conservative.

I'm glad to see Huckabee doing something FOR the Pubbies for a change.
I wish Hoogendyk all the best. He's got a tough, but not impossible task to knock off Levin. Especially if McCain/Palin stay as competitive in the state as they have been so far.

Will Huck show up to also Criticize McCain again. That was my comment too. Let's get him elected first. We'll have plenty of time to criticize him after the election.

"Jack's biggest hurdle is name recognition." Barring a cataclysmic scandal there is no bigger hurdle than name recognition. I'm no fan of Mike Huckabee but I do wish Mr. Hoogendyk luck.

“UGH, what a sore loser the huck is.”
He's still not over it.
The Huckster is a loser. This candidate must also want to lose. The Huckster blew his wad. He's no political draw.

He wants to thank personally the 3 people who watched his show! Maybe he's looking for a new singer who sings on key. Ouch, the Idol judges would have had a field day.

Are you sure you want that open-big-mouth-insert-foot Huckster anywhere near your candidate? Sounds like a political kiss of death to me.

Jack has a mountain to climb but he should fight this out to the end. I watched Huckabee’s new show and he seems to have gotten the message from the voters after failing to gain ground. The also rans should be doing more to boost not just McCain and Palin but specifically the Senate and House candidates. We need to work together, the left knows one thing and that is how to leverage each other. We need to stop looking at national Senate and Congressional races as local races. So many of these races is about one thing money and name recognition. The incumbents have name recognition and they have money that is why most incumbents don’t lose.
The defeat of Tom Daschle is a prime example of what happens when you have the money to get the message out. The national party is so myopic. Some of these old liberals represent areas that are far more centrist and conservative than they are. They also have records of saying outrageous things and voting for outrageous things that could be used as rallying cries and in commercials. Wear them down, force them to debate, attack attack attack. They can be defeated but not with this attitude that has infected the GOP that we only spend money on easy races.

Wow, the Free Republic has really rallied around McCain. Once upon a time defending McCain was like admitting to being a RINO.
