Okay, the announcement you've all been waiting for about Joe Biden. Your humble correspondent has been hinting about this for several weeks.
On July 23, 1986 Joe Biden suffered a complete mental meltdown, captured on video, when he was questioning Secretary of State George Schultz during a Senate hearing. Basically Schultz kept his mouth shut as Biden had what really amounted to a nervous breakdown in which he petulantly whined solo for a couple of minutes with no interruption. It was a sight to behold. This is a video that MUST be seen to be believed. Anybody normal person watching this video will see that Biden is too mentally unstable to ever get near the White House.
Anyway, I passed info about this video up the food chain a few weeks ago. I had talked to the C-SPAN archives in Lafayette, IN and the woman there even gave me the ID # of the video in question. However, when later looked into, the video became "unavailable" because it supposedly ended up in the National Archives where no one can seem to locate it.
However, since this video also appeared on all three major networks at the time, ABC, NBC, and CBS, it is also at the Vanderbilt University News Archive. Therefore, I am asking anybody interested (which is probably quite a few of you), especially in the Nashville area, to go to those newscast archives and obtain a copy of the newscasts on the major networks for July 23, 1986. Your jaws will drop when you actually see the video. Oh, and let me know when you get the video because I will see that it gets as much online dissemination as possible.
Find this video and Joe Biden goes DOWN! Barack Obama goes DOWN! Democrat Party goes DOWN!
And what does this say about Obama's vetting process that they let this Biden meltdown somehow slip by them?
It is a scandal that this video is not already out there since all three of the major networks know about it since all of them broadcast this incident.
Hopefully the networks can be bypassed and the public can see it for themselves.
Sandy Berger’s pants - again.
This video is from 1986. Back in 1986 they didn't have the Internet, remember? Therefore there is no link to the video, as you're asking; in order to have a link, the vid needs to be on the internet somewhere. The OP is asking for someone to go pick up a physical copy of the video so that it can be put on the internet where we can all enjoy it.

“When and Where to File
Nominations for presidential and vice presidential
candidates and their respective electors must be filed by
an established political party by 4:00 p.m. on the sixtieth
day before the November 4, 2008 General Election.”
(btw. GOOGLE is your friend)... :0)
That's okay. Plenty of other places to post it. This is a video that will be impossible to suppress IF it can be obtained. However, GOOD NEWS!!! Another Freeper, who was able to figure out the clues I left over the weeks not only found it but has ordered the video. He should get it in a week. However, that shouldn't stop others from getting it as well for backup purposes. I recommend you order all three (one from each network).
Notifying Rush is a great idea. There must be a FReeper who knows Rush personally and can contact him.
Oh, sorry, it figures though, they scrubbed it
I know. Biden’s performance during the Clarence Thomas Hearings made an indelible impression as well.
I just like having written documentation, in case videos get removed.
P-J:
I’ve done a search in Lexis Congressional Universe, and the only thing I’ve found from Biden on July 23rd is a debate about nominating a judge in the seventh circuit. I don’t see anything in the text that sounds unusual. Are you sure you have the right date?
I wish there was something, anything I could do to help with this election. I live in New England where nothing I do will matter. (Even my yard sign, ordered 6 weeks ago, has not arrived, damnit.)
How about the Reagan library?
yur forgiven.
Senate foreign relations committee meeting. Not the Senate itself. George Shultz was testifying but shut up once Biden began his solo rant.
Congressional Universe has full text of debates and speeches dating back to the 99th Congress (which should cover this situation, since that was 1985-1986). When I searched for Biden, I found several documents, including one from July 23rd. When I added the other party’s name (Schultz), I found some debates where the name “Schultz” was mentioned, but none where both he and Biden were participants.
Do you have a citation for the committee meeting? I may be able to find the text, though I can’t help with the video.
Was that before or after he had brain surgery?
Scoop ping.
I would love to notify Rush but ironically on a personal, not political, matter. I would like to thank Rush for teaching my wife (from Venezuela) English. When we first got together she had a hard time learning English. She even moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama because she figured everybody there speaks English and she would be forced to learn. However, when she arrived in Alabama, most of the people in her neighborhood only spoke Spanish. So when she returned to Florida, I told her to listen to Rush Limbaugh on the radio because he speaks so clearly, not because of politics because my wife is completely apolitical. Well, it worked. She did learn English quite well from listening to Rush but with a few strange quirks like saying stuff like "Bienvenidos from the fruited plain." Or "Por favor, don't act like a mind-numbed robot!" when I am doing something stupid.
She actually wanted to go to Rush's home and thank him in person for teaching her English but I told her you just can't drive up to Rush's home and knock on the door.
Sorry, but that is the same argument the crazies made last week with McCain. The ad implied he was going to die from skin cancer. Well, why put bin biden in office if there is a possibility he’ll have an anureysm while next to the nuke button?
