I actually enjoyed Tom Petty last year but I think I'll go with your idea this year.

He’s the type that might spit out something political, being NBC I doubt they would put anything in his contract to stop him.

Second and third rounds of the playoffs are decent. The rest usually suck eggs.

I know..... I grow weary of the hype that surrounds the game....and when the Super Bowl is done it seems I have to wait forever for next season....

“springsteen is hated by every patriotic American which means most NFL fans.”
With him on — it just means I don’t have to fight with anyone to change the channel during half time...which come to think of it...I haven’t seen a half time show in a long, long, long time.
As a matter of fact the last time I remember anyone singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl was 1993 in Pasadena. Garth Brooks sang the National Anthem. It was the Cowboys vs Bills. What a great game — couldn’t even tell you who the half time show was — went to the bathroom. But by God, I do remember Garth Brooks — made me cry and made me proud to be an American.
Shouldn’t they really be doing something to honor our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen that fight for our freedom — and give us the freedom to watch a game and let American hating singers spew their hatred for America in front of a live audience — I forget, “is it the singer that gives us the freedom, or the Soldier.” Hhhhhuuuuummmm....

The high point of the season for me is the draft. The games are fun, but the draft is high-stakes poker.

Springsteen's career is in free fall. Recently someone on FR posted that he tried to negotiate a deal for 3 concerts at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. He couldn't even sell out on his home turf. He hasn't had a hit in at least 15 years. His political rants are pathetic and I'm willing to be he is one of the environmental hypocrites that are everywhere on the left.

Since the Lions will take it all the way this year, a good halftime show would be Kwame Kilpatrick breakdancing. He should be out of jail by then.

So is he going to start a lecture on socialism before he starts singing? Yeah, that'll go over real well with the NFL crowd. What's next, the Dixie Chix at a NASCAR rally in Georgia on the 4th of July?

Going for that crucial over 50 demographic. Probably see a lot of Cialis ads to compliment the music.

Since the Lions will take it all the way this year If all they had to play were pre-season games they'd be a dynasty.
To: LeonardFMason
Half time I tune to Animal Planet and watch the Puppy Bowl and the Bisell Kitty Half Time Show.
Way more entertaining than Springsteen.
