Anyone else see Kucinich on Fox News? He's RAILING against the bailout? Some of his complaints involved typical bashing of "trickle-down" concepts but some of them actually made a lot of sense.

Can’t believe it, I agree with the nut from Ohio, too.

All Nancy and her pals have to do is assure China that we won’t renege on our nation’s loans. Good luck with that, ladies.

No wonder they all have their panties in a wad. How did we get here anyway!?

All the finance lefties I have read are against it. Guess just the “moderates” are for it.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. It was Kucinich who said he didn’t come to DC to sit on Goldman’s board. Doubt he’s looking for a job in the Bush administration :)

This explains why the Dems haven’t just rammed the bill through and need to get Republican support - they don’t have enough support in their own party to do it alone.

So Democrats and Republicans are against this bill but the Senate’s only formal socialist is AGAINST it?

That's correct. Politics does make for strange bedfellows. Naturally, Sanders and Kucinich arrive at their opposition from a different perspective, but their position on this monstrosity is correct, regardless.

Check out: http://sanders.senate.gov/

I think he's voting against it, no matter what it looks like.

Please see # 18 ... has the SEC been messing up? Or- was this just a talking point for Kucinich?

Struggling to understand..still.

1. Kinda scary day in American history when Kucinich seems to be the voice of reason.

Very. But if you are right you are right even if you are the evil elf the rest of the time.

I’m suspicious of Kookcinich’s motives. Is he complaining that his pie was cut out or he didn’t get any pie and wants some?

One thing for sure, that the SEC dropped the ball on is EVER acknowledging or doing anything about naked short selling. They constantly ignored it and denied it was happening when, in fact it was. Big time.

I do blame Cox for that.

does anyone here know IF the SEC in fact has been lax in enforcing the rules and regs?

This is what I've found: we have been over regulating sectors that don't need the regulation, and we've deregulated sectors that desperately need regulation.

Ok- thanks. I was under the impression that naked shorts was a big problem. So- if it was going on- is that practice covered under regulation..and just..ignored, kept hidden?

It’s illegal but still going on and no one was doing anything about it. IMO, Cox took a very lax approach to it and ignored any talk that it was going on. Alot of naked shorting was being done out of the Europe and the ME.
