Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis (MUST READ!)

America waits with bated breath while Washington struggles to bring the U.S. economy back from the brink of disaster. But many of those same politicians caused the crisis, and if left to their own devices will do so again.

Despite the mass media news blackout, a series of books, talk radio and the blogosphere have managed to expose Barack Obama's connections to his radical mentors -- Weather Underground bombers William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis and others. David Horowitz and his Discover the Networks.org have also contributed a wealth of information and have noted Obama's radical connections since the beginning.

Yet, no one to my knowledge has yet connected all the dots between Barack Obama and the Radical Left. When seen together, the influences on Obama's life comprise a who's who of the radical leftist movement, and it becomes painfully apparent that not only is Obama a willing participant in that movement, he has spent most of his adult life deeply immersed in it.

But even this doesn't fully describe the extreme nature of this candidate. He can be tied directly to a malevolent overarching strategy that has motivated many, if not all, of the most destructive radical leftist organizations in the United States since the 1960s.

Face it folks, the people pushing this bill, both Republicans and Democrats are lying to you. Read the language and you'll see this is for the purchase of "mortgage related assets" not mortgages. This is a bailout for European and other non-US investment banks and will remain so until the money is restricted to the purchase of ONLY US based mortgages.

This bill is still a sham and the minor modifications we've achieved so far are nothing but throw-away items. This bill remains a travesty.

I believe the US markets can survive the apocalypse they claim is coming, but Europe's may not

Why does this bill not drop the capital gains tax altogether (2 years is a start, but I'd like to be rid of it completely)
Why does this bill not dictate that this money be used ONLY for the purchase of mortgages, not "mortgage related securities"
Why does this bill not dictate that this money be used ONLY for the purchase of mortgages FROM US Institutions (no foreign investment banks)
And why has John McCain not grown the gonads to stand up and publicly describe in detail how we got here and how our "affordable housing" initiatives actually caused this and name names. I want to see Barney Franks, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barry Obama named specifically and the real information on how this happened made public.

Why is this money not restricted to buying actual mortgages?

Ask your representative and push them to answer!

Are We at an Inflection Point?

When Michael Barone speaks, I for one listen. This time I think I've been listening to one of the scariest prophecies about this election and the state of our political affairs that I have heard for a long time, made all the more dreadful because of the source. Here is the election in a nutshell:

Barack Obama and other Democrats have used the financial crisis to spin a narrative. The problem, they say, is deregulation and greed. This is not strictly speaking accurate. Obama and the Democrats opposed tighter regulation of the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and John McCain supported it. Unregulated firms like hedge funds have done well, while heavily regulated banks have had troubles.

But the narrative will be advanced by the Obama-loving media ... and by the passage of a giant financial bailout -- er, rescue package. The likelihood, as this is written, is that Obama will be elected president and the Democrats will expand their congressional majorities. Possibly even to the 60 votes they need to effectively control the Senate.

So Barone believes as I do that Obama is likely to win the election. What is truly scary follows, " start old the Democrats will expand their congressional majorities possibly even to the 60 votes they need to effectively control the Senate."

This means there is nothing to stop a "Manchurian Marxist" from taking over almost total control of the American economy. If this scenario obtains, Republicans will not even have resort to the filibuster to defend the Republic. Because there will be no check or balance, Obama's socialist policies, as they fail, will be compounded with more socialist policies to rescue the failures.

Worse, Obama has displayed a frightening tendency to enlist the power of the state to squelch free speech. His gang of Democrats in the House and Senate share his views and have already threatened talk radio. Obama has invoked the threat of prosecution against radio stations and in general, evidently, in the state of Missouri even against private citizens. The Kerry campaign intimidated television stations running the Swift boat film. Conservatives have every reason to fear that the country may enter a new dark age under a Putin like administration.

Nor can we sleep well expecting the courts to come to our rescue. There's not the slightest realistic hope that any federal court will declare the bailout unconstitutional as an impermissible usurpation of powers. We have already seen the court waffle on matters such as campaign finance reform so, we are entitled to nourish but little hope that free speech, if not the free market, will be protected.

Across the board of American life there is virtually no institution apart from government which could stand up against the power of an engrossed state. Our educational institution is corrupted from top to bottom with leftists. The higher the learning and the more prestigious the institution the greater the departure from common sense. Our great charitable institutions such as Ford or Rockefeller have been thoroughly infiltrated and are now controlled by leftists. Witness Bill Ayers and Barack Obama's plundering of the Annenberg foundation, originally founded by a conservative. It is now so commonly understood that the media is so given over to leftism that it requires no comment or proof here. Apart from a remnant of the Roman Catholic Church and the Evangelicals, the American Christian Church is best exemplified by the United Church of Christ which is practically a leftist front. The executive branch bureaucracy, not excluding the CIA and especially the State Department, are largely given over to undermining conservative principles and policies which are the expressions of our democratically elected leaders.

Take away talk radio, and the void leaves the playing field to the leftists virtually unopposed.

This is the specter that awaits us the day after the election.

These are the nightmares which prompt some of us on these threads to become testy at times when we see posts which are nothing but cheerleading and boosterism. These are the times which call every one of us to dig deep and face courageously the realities that confront us. I am not in the slightest deterred by replies to this post which recite that I am a defeatist. It may be true that I am an alarmist but I believe we have much to be alarmed about. Small wonder that we could become testy when we see a campaign slipping away or an opportunity missed. The stakes are really and truly high this time. It is my hope that Freepers, knowing that the barbarians are really at the gate, will turn their collective genius toward averting a catastrophe

At the end of the day we see the thefts of property through thuggery. A good Marxist like Saul Alinsky-or Mao Tse Tung for that matter- are never above easing the travail of their own lives with such perks, but their ideological goal is the distruction of the concept and sanctity of property. There is a reason for that ideological goal.

The basic institutions of Western society which come out of the Judeo- Christian tradition and which were hammered out in our culture over the millennia and refined in the Enlightenment and in the American experience have served as bulwarks against the advance of communism. Foremost among the institutions which stand against the advance communism are the family, the church, the rule of law, the school, private property, and the military with its commitment to patriotism.

Saul Alinsky in his book, Rules for Radicals lays out a guerrilla against these institutions which frustrate socialism. Barak Obama was an acolyte of -indeed he was an instructor for- Saul Alinsky's operation.

To complete the picture, someday a conservative historian (presuming they are allowed to publish) will draw a straight line to Barak Obama which passes through Saul Alinsky, showing feeder lines off to people like Bill Ayers, and originating in The Frankfurt School. The Frankfurt School was expressly founded by a George Soros like figure in 1923 in Germany for the express purpose of providing the intellectual methodology to destroy the institutions which protect Western civilization. These intellectuals did provide rationalizations which today motivate the Barak Obama's of the world. The rationalizations are called: feminism; critical theory; conservationism; world order; political correctness; economic democracy, etc. and they all find their origin in The Frankfurt School.

When I say the barbarians are at the gate, I do not mean to diminish the sophistication of the enemy. We must make no mistake, we are dealing with an extremely crafty and dedicated foe whose ultimate aim is and remains despite the fall of the Soviet Union to break through the gates. Indeed, "barbarians at the gate" and "breaking through the gate" are the wrong kinds of imagery. The war is not being fought at this point with violence. It has been fought and mostly won by the other side by infiltration into the institutions which I mentioned in my previous post including the churches, the charitable foundations, the education establishment, the bar, and, as you point out, the unions.

If these people get their hands on the levers of power in America they will not let go.

As I have written elsewhere, the Radical Left’s offensive to promote illegal immigration is “Cloward-Piven on steroids.” ACORN is at the forefront of this movement as well, and was a leading organization among a broad coalition of radical groups, including Soros’ Open Society Institute, the Service Employees International Union (ACORN founder Wade Rathke also runs a SEIU chapter), and others, that became the Coalition for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. CCIR fortunately failed to gain passage for the 2007 illegal immigrant amnesty bill, but its goals have not changed.

The burden of illegal immigration on our already overstressed welfare system has been widely documented. Some towns in California have even been taken over by illegal immigrant drug cartels. The disease, crime and overcrowding brought by illegal immigrants places a heavy burden on every segment of society and every level of government, threatening to split this country apart at the seams. In the meantime, radical leftist efforts to grant illegal immigrants citizenship guarantee a huge pool of new democrat voters. With little border control, terrorists can also filter in.

Obama aided ACORN as their lead attorney in a successful suit he brought against the Illinois state government to implement the Motor Voter law there. The law had been resisted by Republican Governor Jim Edgars, who feared the law was an opening to widespread vote fraud.

His fears were warranted as the Motor Voter law has since been cited as a major opportunity for vote fraud, especially for illegal immigrants, even terrorists. According to the Wall Street Journal: “After 9/11, the Justice Department found that eight of the 19 hijackers were registered to vote...”

ACORN’s dual offensives on voting and illegal immigration are handy complements. Both swell the voter rolls with reliable democrats while assaulting the country ACORN seeks to destroy with overwhelming new problems.

The fact that we could and did predict these things tells us something about the political climate in which we conservatives are obliged to operate.

If we could see these things, why did the media not see them? Why did John McCain fail to expose them?

The failure of the institutions which we have as a society historically relied on to protect us against the demagogue is shocking. The Democrat party, the media, our own candidate, all evaded their duty. This should bring us a fresh awareness of the power of the race card in American politics. As you probably know, I miss no opportunity to expound Nathan Bedford's first maximum of American politics: all politics in America is not local but ultimately racial.

Rereading those posts written before the election, one is struck again by the narcissism of Obama, the flip side of which is a haughty disdain for the middle of America, the "bitter clingers". His vacation in Martha's Vineyard is only the last in a parade of backhands to the American people. But the real important inference to draw is that he disdains us because we are benighted and he is possessed of the truth. We are ignorant and he is schooled. He knows that America is essentially evil and the last barrier to the onrush of global socialism and racial justice. He knows that our patriotism is the faith of fools and that we are scarcely worthy of his time and effort to manipulate us.

This sort of individual can prove to be virtually immune to the influence of events, the thrust of history, or sheer common sense. Worse, he might well be sociopathic and incapable of compassion for his own people, white and black. If so, he is capable of subjecting his people to the most awful trials to perfect his vision of utopia.

He has leapt into the oval office with a worldview in which he has been indoctrinated by communists, condoned by academics, and exploited by politicians. He found it so easy to seduce us as he seduced the media, George Soros, and his fellow academics. There has never been a reckoning for Barak Obama because of the color of his skin and because he votes present in every crisis. We do not know how deeply he is rooted in reality and how deeply he is rooted in his fantasy. If it is the latter which rules his psyche, he is like all sociopaths, a very, very good actor who knows how to manipulate his audience.

He is the most dangerous kind of individual in whom to invest ultimate power. That is why it is impossible to predict how he will react in this crisis whether it be thrust upon him or of his own making.
