NOPE! I heard it the same way, Jim!! They also said that the meeting, which was supposed to be 4 people— 2 Rats and 2 Republicans is 7 Rats gained up on 2 Republicans!! One of them is Blunt, not sure who the other one is.

DON'T GIVE IN HOUSE REPUBLICANS!! FOX is reporting the ACORN story now. Megyn Kelly was not happy about the Rat shenanigans.

Just sent this off via e-mail to my Senators and Representative:

Dear__________

Not one dime of this bailout should go to organizations like ACORN and La Raza.

The funding of nongovernmental organizations which are nakedly partisan is not only wrongheaded and immoral, but unconstitutional.

As long as this provision remains in the bailout bill, I, and thousands of others like me will steadfastly oppose any efforts to get it passed.

Before any bailout plan is approved, there should be hearings which investigate the root causes of this catastrophe.

There are members of both houses of Congress who have opposed strengthening oversight of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae every time legislation to strengthen oversight and increase accountability has been proposed over the years, and they must be held accountable for their positions.

Their actions need to be brought to the light of day, and NAMES NEED TO BE NAMED.

Wrong-headed actions by Congress led to this mess; and it is idiotic to assume that additional wrong-headed actions by Congress will fix it.

I pray that we could rise up and take back our country. Endulge me while I post a simple reminder, the first portion of our Declaration of Independence. As this is going on I have been watching again, the John Adams series. The state our nation is in breaks my heart.

As reported on another thread, Arlen Specter wants the bill on the Internet for 24 hours before passing.

RUSH:...Now, in regard to this bill coming out, the Senate version of the bill coming out, a lot of you are already calling and e-mailing members of Congress and the Senate. There is a system in place that was started during the Clinton years, whereas all legislation that has been passed by the House gets posted on the Internet so anybody and everybody can read it prior to the president signing it. It's called the Thomas System. This obligation needs to be hammered. This rescue plan, when it finally is hammered out, the Senate bill, House bill, and then when they get their conference committee version of it, this legislation must be on the Thomas System, it must be on the Internet so that everybody can analyze it before voting. If the pressure can be brought to put that bill -- for example, if it's clearly stated in the bill that 20% of this bill is going to ACORN, people need to be able to see that, people need to be able to see it on the Internet and blow up over it. They are obliged to do this already.

My guess is that because of the urgency and that time is of the essence that they might try to forgo it because they don't want anybody to know. So this means to be hammered, that this legislation needs to be put up on the Internet on the Thomas System so that everybody can analyze it before voting. (cont.)

Oh - they couldn’t take ANYTHING away from me. WTH?

What if someone had a family emergency?

What is someone needs to multi-task? Appearantly it’s only ok with the Dem party that Obama multi-task, but not Republicans? (not that I think Obama is multi-tasking for a second)

Good grief. With this, the whole St. Louis gustapo attorneys saying they are going to prosecute anyone who says anything bad about Obama, and that D*MN ACORN 20% of this bailout that is STILL in place, that the Dems showed up with 9 members to 2 Republicans to talk...

Seriously...I’ve almost lost it 2-3x in the last 3-4 days.

Then Obama the last 24 hours, a little last night with his “I agree” (and we know he doesn’t), and hearing him once on the stump this morning...he’s practically adopting 1/3 the conservative policies in his speeches that he’s reading off the teleprompters!!! I about fell out of my chair when I heard him speaking!

THIS MAN, and his puppetmasters, WILL SAY AND DO ANYTHING TO WIN...and he’s got a bunch of folks that are willing to do EVERYTHING against the constitution and our country’s principles to do it.


It’s been said before by many Freepers - but if we thought Gore was leftie, Kerry even more, this guy make Carter and the aforementioned look like moderates if you look at his past.

Hear, Hear, btw I am in Pence’s Dist, and have interned for him one summer (btw), but as of late (though he has done good work, had my reservations even of he, now I AM not only going to send him the money I was going to McCain-especially if the Senator votes for the bill), I will also be volunteering for Him!!

This election is shaping up to be a real battle for our republic. Every where I look they are banning either some form of speech or communication.

When McCain/Palin win in November we will still have a lot of work before us to save our country from fascist socialism.

The mask is off. If the nomination of 0bama, Pelosi’s tactics in August, these latest hijinx, the organization of loosely controlled gangs for voter intimidation haven't set you on alert...the Liberty Bell is Ringing your call to civic duty.

I finally got the courage up to put my yard sign out. So far, no trouble but I don't expect it to stay that way. I've checked and cleaned several firearms just in case and have been stashing away food supplies. I hope and pray I won't need any of them in the next 90-120 days.
