Republicans are much to kind to Hussein because he is black.

He should be hit on his radical beliefs and friends.

His sympathies with terrorists, domestic and foreign.

His sympathies for global approval.

His UnAmerican Democrat Party, and their betrayals of our missions, troops and CIC, their leaking of intel to the enemy in Iraq.

His Black Liberation theology.

His Anti-American education, by communists.

He is a fraud and a confidence man, his goals and beliefs need to be exposed.

He needs to lead by at least 6 points to take into effect the Bradley effect. I say at least 7 because of his Islamic name. The debates also rattled some nerves as they see Obama not quite ready to lead. Don’t worry guys. Remember in 2002, the Democrats were suppose to kill Republicans and take back the house and senate and the Republicans won? It wasn’t until Bush started being a liberal in his second term that we started losing elections. Harriet Myers, immigration, borrow and spend policies etc.

Nationally but huge leads in big lib states like Cal. do not translate to electoral college victory. That is why we have the Elector college.

Don’t count on the media to call Obama on his changing positions. He has the ability to hold every position at once without the media ever questioning his real beliefs and/or motives.

As for the bracelet thing, I haven’t heard that mentioned anywhere in the MSM so unless there is an add about it (which I doubt since he was referencing a dead soldier) I wouldn’t expect that to have any impact

I didn’t agree with McCain’s decision to suspend his campaign and throw himself in the middle of the DC bailout debate, because he never clearly stated he was against it, and wanted to work on a more conservative solution. If you’re going to do something like that, don’t come out with a statement like, “working for a bipartisan solution”, crap. Come out AGAINST it plain and clearly to the American people.
I even had to ask people here what McCain’s stance was on this issue, because he wasn’t making it obvious at first.

It really looked like he ran back to DC just to vote on something people HATE! And President Bush was on TV Wednesday night trying to sell this bailout to the people and he failed to do it... and BINGO... Thursday night was a big night for Obama in the polls.

I feel the momentum shifting and for the first time I believe 0bama has a real chance of winning (based primarily on the market meltdown and how voters will punish the incumbent party).

McCain needs to come out with a “bold” economic plan, and frame 0bama’s plan as “more of the same.”

A quick thought...After McCains speech I remember thinking how dry and unspectacular it was. It seemed like a let down compared to Palin and I was nervous about the poll results. The poll results were excellent and the indies seemed to like what they saw. The same will happen here. He showed whos the most qualified.

Look. If McCain wants to run an I am above politics campaign like Bush one he will lose just like Bush one. If he wants to define Obama properly as a person who associates with American hating people like Reverend Wright, wants to slash our defenses and won’t put his hand over his heart for the pledge of allegiance then he can win..He needs to be tricky in next debate such as asking a question such as ok if someone is making 45,000 what will be their tax rate under your proposal and what is it today..?? His team is weak.

As i have said all week, the mainstream electorate has been very confused about the bailout:
Who is at fault? Who has the best plan? Suddenly, to them, Bush seems to care, etc. All the while the MSM keeps hammering it as Bush fault Bush fault Bush fault.

It is very easy to see why there has been a slight drift to Bambi. He was simply awful during the first debate last nite, and we will see these polls drift back into the margin of error next week.

Not time to panic yet but the trend since McCain suspended his campaign is definitely in Obama’s direction whereas prior to that I was getting the sense that McCain was making inroads
You are correct, before he suspended his campaign the race tightened back up, because McCain started hitting Obama on Fannie and Freddie, and his connections.

yeah, and unless I see the weighting I’m not getting myself very excited.

why would anybody be aroused by ‘registered voters’ at this point? If you haven’t decided to vote yet, you are are idiot OR you aren’t affected by the contagion to ‘change’ everything. Either way, bad news for the guy with the sketchy background.

Well, if McCain is seen as blocking the Paulson bailout, and no alternative bailout passes, the market will go in meltdown mode and McCain will be blamed. That wouldn’t be good.

The middle day of the 3 day rolling average is a complete outlier. I have it:

M-—O
46-44
39-56 (17 point spread?)
47-47

I’m not panicked but McCain and the GOP needs to block the Democrat bill on the Bailout. They need to stand up for fiscal responsibility more now than at any other time.

I think that may be very risky. If they block the bailout bill and ANY other bad news comes out, say Wachovia fails, it will be easy to the Dems to point and say "See, if we had passed a plan this wouldn't have happened."
No matter that the logic is failed, it will play in Peoria.

Does not reflect likely voters, does no reflect the debate, does not reflect JM trip to DC to solve the crisis, does not reflect the Bradley effect.....
And yes Americans have lost their minds.

Hitting Obama on his connections will work in the right places. I’m still troubled that he has put away NC and IN (I think Obama connections will help sure those places up). McCain can solidify independents by letting Sarah be Sarah. That means not trying to make people think she is a foreign policy expert but rather show the world the type of person she is and let her focus on the things she is passionate about.

Don’t get me wrong. I think McCain missed several opportunities. He needs to do a lot better on his economic message but I think he did ok and I think especially the second half Obama didn’t fair so well.

John McCain is still trying to play nice! Nice guys finish last.
He should never have suspended his campaign. I thought he should have gone back to DC but he didn’t have to suspend the campaign to do that. Once again, the Republicans are showing why they are known as the stupid party.
