He needs to lead by at least 6 points to take into effect the Bradley effect. I say at least 7 because of his Islamic name. The debates also rattled some nerves as they see Obama not quite ready to lead. Don’t worry guys. Remember in 2002, the Democrats were suppose to kill Republicans and take back the house and senate and the Republicans won? It wasn’t until Bush started being a liberal in his second term that we started losing elections. Harriet Myers, immigration, borrow and spend policies etc.

You know I have always dismissed the Bradley effect as wishful thinking on our part but am now starting to wonder if this is some of what we may be seeing here.

Have any of the freepers done any analysis looking at poll results vs. the timing of stories in the media that says racism is to blame for Obama not doing well? I noticed that those racist stories starting coming to surface again early last week and that is when he started climbing in the polls. I am wondering if we went back to the racism claims against the Clintons and compared the timing of that to the poll results, if we would see an upward trend in Obama’s polling numbers.

Of course this could be wishful thinking on my part and I do think Obama is indeed ahead right now, but I am wondering if maybe some of it is indeed due to the Bradley effect.
