I don’t like the ad. I think its a cheap shot. I don’t like taking someone’s words out of context. I just don’t. Also, there is no way John McCain had the time to see and approve that message... I guess I thought he really actually did that before letting them go out.

Focus group on Fox now. Makes me so nervous listening to those people, especially the undecided ones. If that haven’t decided by now I think maybe they aren’t paying attention at all.

Someone let me know what they have to say.

To the extent it was boring, and it was boring, Obama loses because the basic set up is experience vs. excitement, novelty, newness, creativity. Obama did NOT come across as exciting or different or as having anything NEW to offer. Since I think this is a major selling point he has been pushing, boring = loss for him. I felt as if I were sitting in a boring college lecture, longing for him to stop talking.

They were about 60-40 for Obama — especially the women —
“he cares more about people like me....”

Susan B. Anthony, what have you done?

Consolations 1. very small sample size, 2. it’s possible to get “plants” in.

Out of context? He said John McCain was right about his positions. What was out of context?

barry scored points with the concern for the Main Street issues and implied entitlement give aways. The public and media will adore that. McCain tried to point out a bigger picture that was about lowering government spending, there by keeping taxes low in all segments and by doing so stimulating the economy, jobs, etc.

I worry that people won't look at the big picture and get caught up in the “it's about meeeee” and what can the government give “meee”. But that maybe the killer. People want stuff, and Barry is all about...we'll help you, don't worry.

As far as foreign relations, McCain did a pretty good job. It was obvious that Barry had studied those subjects. Even though he lied, he lied well. I had a lot of responses for McCain (as uneducated as I am) that may have worked better. But I am not a politician.

Rant/off.

If I were reading body language, I'd have to say that John got under Barry's skin far worse than Barry got under John's. Good debate overall.

Agreed. Add to it the way he talks in circles, and as you said,it makes you just want him to stop... It renews my determination to get McCain-Palin elected, and make it a BIG win, so there is no doubt.

It’s a new track record! Is Obama recognizing that McCain is a leader and he is a wannabe?

he should have the Obama vs. Obama debate. More flip-flops than a beachwear store.

He should just eat his damn waffles...

Obama’s suit fit better. Aside fom that, he came up short on everything else.

I’ve got the perfect zinger for McCain. He should ask Obama if he can define the word verbose in less than 10,000 words. The guy’s pie hole suffers from diarrhea. Obama looked uneasy and irritable. McCain was unflappable and imperturbable, qualities a Commander-in-Chief must have.

From Intrade to the MSM to ‘focus groups’, I’d say Barry is going to get a bounce even though he doesn’t deserve one. Sen. McCain needed to go after Zerobama more than he did. All in all I think McCain did well but I wonder what voters will say.

Instead of the “ready to lead” question at the end, I would have said “even Barak Obama agrees John McCain is ‘absolutely right’”.
