Sen. Ted Kennedy Taken to Cape Cod Hospital, Condition Unknown
Right on Doughty. Wonder how many folk who pray the “Pater Noster” actually understand...”forgive us OUR trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us...”
Scary stuff right there.
Ted’s just Ted. He’s an American icon, good or bad. He’s a very flawed individual, but is not 100% evil either. His love of his family is admirable. He did a lot in life, some good, some not good, and was not raised in an environment conducive to bringing out the best in one’s character. All in all, he is who he is.
Just part of the process.
Opinion noted...... Stay Safe !
LOL!!!
You miss the point. He's not "Ted". That infers some sort of casual affection. He is Ted Kennedy or Senator Kennedy.
As a member of the military you are clearly aware that there is a time to fight and a time not to. When you’re on any field of battle, it’s appropriate to use all measures at your disposal. When the other guy is on the ground and you’re not on the field of battle, you don’t.
Don’t forget, we will all go back to railing on what Ted has always been, should he appear in the Senate, or a few weeks after he were to pass on. He never has and never will get a complete pass.
I agree Don-O. It is sobering...
Thought police.
I don’t agree. It CAN mean affection, or it can mean familiarity. People who are a part of our history or pop culture are often referred to by their first names. Oprah is Oprah or Oprah Winfrey. She isn’t Ms. Winfrey. Hillary is Hillary most of the time, rarely Senator Clinton, or Mrs. Clinton. Sarah is Sarah or Governor Palin. Ted Kennedy is a part of our national history, like it or not. He belongs to us. Like it or not. Calling him by his first name just says he is familiar to us, it doesn’t denote how we feel about that.
I strongly disagree with Mr. Kennedy on almost all issues. However, I lost a very dear friend to cancer and I won’t wish that on his family or friends. Nor will I wish him ill in any way.
I pray that his remaining days are without pain and that his passing is easy when God calls him home. I would hope that he sees the error in his ways but I hope more that he comes to peace with the Lord and all that is his.
Mike
Prayers from me, too.
I hope he knows Jesus as his personal Savior. May God be with all of them during a difficult time.
Yep ....damn shame !
Are you kidding me? Wow! The mods stayed busy that day.
