Mods, if one already exists (I couldn't find one), please delete this one..many thanks in advance..
First things first..what are the drinkin words?
xxx = take a sip xxxx = take a gulp xxxxx = bottoms up
Yes. I have to agree... McCain missed some clear opportunities to knock one out of the park. Ex: Obama says in the same breath that he sits on the veterans committee and that veterans do not get treated well enough. Ex: Obama talks about our debt being leveraged by China, and then implies he wants the government to run the health care system... He is all for a $700B bailout of his buddied on Wall Street and 20 percent of that money for ACORN. So why did McCain not respond?
Barak talks about debt, and John has no response about Obamas’ connections to Freddie or Fannie?
The one thing that made Obama really look like an ass was his constant attempts at interrupting McCain.
McCain sounded confused, and shaky in his speech, although he recovered confidence somewhat late in the debate.
Maybe it was just nervousness... I do not know... But I sure was not impressed with his performance.
As usual, the thread was moving so fast I missed whole pages. I'm going to have to go back through it all tomorrow and see what I missed.
Except that the next debate is on the economy, so theres plenty of time. Would you agree that would be the right time?
Amen to that. Hopefully in the next day or two the real info comes out.
How funny...I was going to include Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan, here.
No surprise there/s throws up.:-(
Morris said (and I agree) that McCain made a mistake by not talking about why he went back to Washington to handle the bailout situation.
Are there any Missourians willing to call the task force members like McCullough and rat out Obama himself for his lies? He made a number of them tonight - and the debate was carried by every network and local station in Missouri (I’m assuming...). Seems that if any of those Sheriffs and prosecutors are Republican that they could use this against Obama himself to make a point.
(PS - I’ve got an Obama is a Muslim bumper sticker up on DFU’s thread. It’s got a teeny tiny question mark after the original statement. It’s be awesome if a bunch of Missourians would put these on their cars. I’d love to see them try to push the point - especially because the bumper sticker asks a question, and doesn’t make a statement (I’m guessing in their knee-jerk reactions they won’t notice the question mark...).
Here’s a link to the post on DFU’s thread:

Anyway, given the CNN results, now I know McCain won.
Yeah, I hear you.
I was watching the Fox “independent” group, too.
The polling guy asked “how many were swayed by McCain?”..about 9 hands went up.
Then, he asked “how many were swayed by Obambi?”..about 5 hands went up.
Poller guys then says “well, it looks like a lot more here were swayed by Obambi” and gives 4 people a chance to bash Mac, and only 1 a chance to say why he liked him.
What the?!! Can’t we even get a fair shake on FOX anymore, for cryin out loud?
I had to rewind the DVR and still frame to do the count. If it wasn’t a junk cable company box without connectivity, I’d grab some screen shots and send it to FNC with a tweaked off email..
You know and I know that Senator McCain will be working this weekend.
Barama? he will be licking his wounds
We have to wait & see!
It doesn’t matter what they said — it is only how they “looked” and “felt”.
I would bet that no one could tell you what was said.
MSNBC poll is rigged, I voted for McCain but the vote tally never changed.
Not only that. Dick Morris said the Republican party nominated the wrong man. Even though he said he is voting for McCain. I guess he meant (maybe he was a Mitt man) that Mitt would have been fiscally. He has a point, however this was a low blow a this time.
It was a debate about foreign policy. I getting so effing angry at people who think they know so g-d much.
McCain did fine, he kicked O’s ass. Stop effing nit picking and acting like everyone is Rush Limbaugh.
Yes! Is Anthony Sullivan the “Sham Wow!” guy? Because if he’s not, let’s throw him in there, too.
In the past I seem to recall Luntz’s “independents” were often people who only want to know what government will do for them. Not exactly right of center. That’s one reason I can’t stand to listen to them.
Dick Morris had some good points though. McCain missed a lot of opportunities to hit Obama even more. But then I suppose if he had, the focus group people would have whined that the old meany was too tough on the nice young man who “cares about people!”
