A $100,000 state grant for a botanic garden in Englewood that then-state Sen. Barack Obama awarded in 2001 to a group headed by a onetime campaign volunteer is now under investigation by the Illinois attorney general amid new questions, prompted by Chicago Sun-Times reports, about whether the money might have been misspent.
The garden was never built. And now state records obtained by the Sun-Times show $65,000 of the grant money went to the wife of Kenny B. Smith, the Obama 2000 congressional campaign volunteer who heads the Chicago Better Housing Association, which was in charge of the project for the blighted South Side neighborhood.

If you follow the money trail, I’d bet a dollar to a donut that the trail goes right back to Obama’s campaign thru “donations”....................
Obama has not much of a record doing any real work in his life, and in America, he has learned how to get money for free, even enough that the can hopefully pass around American money to the rest of the world “have nots”. Read his Senate bill #2433.

Any money not spent cleaning up Englewood is wasted. A botanical garden in a sea of junk and trash is something only a liberal/liar/crook would propose. If any such thing were created the beasts preying on the area’s decent people would merely destroy it as they do anything of value or beauty.
If that’s the “change” he’s talking about, we’re in deep dung.
