"Today was one of my first lessons in the perils of live television," he said. "Lesson learned."

Hmmm. And what lesson, young Luke, did you learn? To better hide your delusional elitist condescension from the little people down below?

So we have a hereditary punditocracy now. That’s just sad.

They’ve tried this for as long as I remember -

trying to bully people into accepting their ideology by putting forth the concept that if you oppose their ideology, you’re dumb.

Every once in a while, liberals let their real opinions slip out!

Reminds me of a time, long ago, when my boss was quoted in the Washington Post as saying "Well people just don't know what is good for them"!

I immediately became the "point person" for the thorny issue at hand for the next few years! My baptism under fire in the wonderful DC world!

He'll spend the next few years erasing his father's good will and legacy until NBC no longer has any use for him.

I don't recall Tim Russert being bad mannered. Perhaps you have an example?

I did not watch many of his shows.

The lights of intelligent though have dimmed considerably during my lifetime. The dumbing down of America is very disturbing.

“I meant to say that many of the kids who go to UVA are from affluent, highly educated households who are leaning (toward) Obama and hence their kids lean Obam...”

I thought only rich folks voted Republican. Which is it? I’m so confused by liberals.

“I meant to say that many of the kids who go to UVA are from affluent, highly educated households who are leaning (toward) Obama and hence their kids lean Obama,” he said.

You'd think if he went to UVA he could find a legitimate job, instead of being a shill for the socialist dims.

Have you ever seen the films Idiocracy or Being There (with Peter Sellers)? Both speak to the "dumbing down" of the country in different ways.

Zogby Poll: Obama Smarter Than McCain; Will Win Friday’s Debate

UTICA, New York - A majority of likely voters nationwide think Democrat Barack Obama is more intelligent than Republican John McCain, and a plurality believes Obama will come out on top in Friday’s first debate of the 2008 general election season, a new Zogby Interactive poll shows.

More than four out of 10 voters - 42% - said they think Obama will win the debate Friday, compared to 31% who said they think McCain will come out ahead on points. Another 27% said they are unsure who might win.

No, he wasn’t. I have no idea what people are talking about here. He tended to be fair. Young Luke obviously has a lot to learn, but if he works as hard as his father did at understanding the background and trying to listen to people, he could be a good reporter. Sounds like he got off to a rocky start, though.
