I think McCain could shoot himself in the foot with this....With Gov. Palin or WITHOUT her. Are you ready to revert to "Plan B"? :-)

I disagree. Mitt has already said that he will help the administration in economic matters, from outside the administration. This means he doesn’t want a cabinet post, but is still there to be of help. Why is this a problem?

And this is the man who said he “didn’t know much about the economy”!

Maybe he doesn’t. But he seems to know a thing or two about leadership.

Are you suggesting that JM drop Palin (who has energized the conservative base) and replace her with Mitt?
Or were you saying something else?

We have to get a handle on this quickly.

Credit is about to dry up in the U.S. If that happens, business grinds to a screeching halt and we likely have a depression on our hands.

It doesn't seem that very many people understand the true gravity of the situation. Our economy is literally teetering on the verge of collapse.

McCain is showing he is a leader and not afraid to meet with experts to get it right — he puts Country First something more elected officials should do IMHO.

I agree 100%. McCain has run his campaign brilliantly and I have no reason to think he will stop now.

Ummm... that's why he is consulting businessmen who do understand economics, accounting, and finance.

Assuming his resources are honest, he will be getting good advice.

Only the Terrorist Hussein Obama knows everything about everything. Including car tire pressures and tune-ups.

I wish I knew who/what to believe. I understand the problem but I wonder at putting the solution in the hands of, in some cases, the very same people that aided and abetted its creation.

I hope the FBI is unhindered in their investigations into Fanny, Freddie etc.

Didn’t Ron vote to let Charlie Randal off the hook last week? Ron who endorsed some other candidate?

Yes... we all know that McCain is a liberal.

McCain is the Republican nominee.

Pence is not the Republican nominee.

Well, that makes two of us who get it.

I'm surprised some FReepers on this thread haven't suggested digging up Ronny?

Just wait — they haven’t gotten around to it yet! That will be next.

I have seen comments today I sit here and shake my head. Don’t know if people are naive or won’t admit the truth? We are in trouble in this Country financially and McCain is one of the few clear voices in this because he does listen to experts.
