Isn’t going to work. Right now, people are thoroughly enraged about how Sarah is being treated. This will be viewed as more piling on.

Never mind the fact that the National Enquirer is up front that it will pay for stories; that the publisher is pals with the Clintons; that a “sworn affidavit” outside of a court is still hearsay so matter how many times you swear.

Garbage in, garbage out. But it is HI-larious that the MSM is taking the National Enq. stories as if they were AP stories. Then again AP stories are often of the quality of the Nat. Enq.., so I guess I see there rational. Ha ha.

“This is aimed at the evangelicals and social conservatives.”

Yes, the Moby Dicks (named after the musican, related to Herman Melville, who named himself “Moby”, who suggest just such a tactic back in 2004 *) don't actually care about these things, they are just designed to supress the vote.

If the election eve release of Bush's DUI charge cost him 0.52% of the vote, then it cost him the popular vote.

Elections can be won or lost on such matters.

One side has principles they will hold to (even if the news item is a “fake but accurate” lie) and one side has no principle except to win at all costs including ballot stuffing and litigation.

One of Sen. John Kerry's celebrity supporters is ready to pull out all the stops to get him elected. Republicans are shrieking over a suggestion by rocker Moby that Democrats spread gossip about President Bush on the Internet. “No one’s talking about how to keep the other side home on Election Day,” Moby tells us. “It's a lot easier than you think and it doesn't cost that much. This election can be won by 200,000 votes.”

Moby suggests that it's possible to seed doubt among Bush's far-right supporters on the Web.

“You target his natural constituencies,” says the Grammy-nominated techno-wizard. “For example, you can go on all the pro-life chat rooms and say you're an outraged right-wing voter and that you know that George Bush drove an ex-girlfriend to an abortion clinic and paid for her to get an abortion.

“Then you go to an anti-immigration Web site chat room and ask, ‘What's all this about George Bush proposing amnesty for illegal aliens?’”

Moby didn't claim that he believed the abortion story...

This is from the NE online regarding their “family insider”:

“Burdett is a former brother-in-law of Hanson’s estranged wife Carolyn’s brother, Craig Batton, and still speaks with many family members.”

Come on. With the hell that’s breaking loose in the economy, even IF Palin was doing it with the seven dwarves, if she and McCain can calm the financial markets, they’ll be anointed.

“Looks like someone duped the gullible National Enquirer into giving them money for a fake story.”

Well after the scandal of believing that 2 hunters had “bagged” a bigfoot (a real sasquatch, not a halloween costume in an old fridge with opossum entrails thrown on it), the rags went back to their CONFIDENTIAL roots.

When will the Enquirer break with the story that Obama is a Homo and likes to dress up in women’s underwear?

Agree when did she ever have time?

She even took the kids to work.
Sometimes daily.

So it could not have been in the Gov office or Mayor. Unlike Bill Clinton in the Oval office.

And being a fishermans wife like many here the wives and kids all meet the F/V and help off load/grocery shop to send the F/V back to sea.

Oh heck this doesnt even call for a post to stick up for Sarah.

I must say if she was able to squeeze in an affair with her schedule I’m impressed!

He says, she says, blah, blah, blah....where’s the beef???

If we eliminate everyone who ever had an affair there would be about 5 people left in congress and the white house.

This London tabloid interviewed the guy she is supposed to have had an affair with and he denies it. The accuser is a convicted thief.

Great! I've been looking for a reason to cancel my subscription to the San Jose Mercury for a long time. This should do it. I only have been subscribing because I have always subscribed to a newspaper. I have been tired of the bias in the Mercury for a long time but we don't have any other decent newspapers in Bay Area. I'm thorough with the SJ Mercury and I'm going to make a point of telling them why I've canceled. I urge all subscribers of the Mercury to cancel and tell them why.

Coincidentally, Hanson has reportedly filed a motion to have his divorce records sealed in Alaska.

Wait, it's this guy again? The one the left said was sealing his records to hide something but was really doing it, as reported by The Smoking Gun, to hide himself from the piranhas in the media? How old is this story now? They're still on this? How pathetic, National Enquirer.

Is this going to be like the author of the 2000 slam Bush book? A loser of little regard who eventually committed suicide?

I believe that allegation came out the week after the R. Convention in relation to the court refusing to seal the divorce papers of the pardner. It was discredited early on. Someone is trying to get a second bite of a nonexistent pie.
