Vanity Fair editors estimated that McCain's fierce saffron shirt dress with the popped collar, diamond earrings, four-strand pearl necklace, white Chanel watch and strappy shoes totaled up to $313,100. _______________________________________________________
I say do not watse your time reading the lie at the link just provided for verification of the original lie.

Today I was in a surgery center with my wife between 9:30 and 10:00 ET. One of the obama supporters playing a part of a reporter came on quickly (maybe five seconds)and gave a retraction of the above-mentioned lie. They acknowledged that Mrs. McCain's dress was off the rack and that the pearls were not real. In other words it did not cost the $300,000 they reported and reported over and over again. I just searched their site to see if I could find a printed retraction and of course I could not. I'm sure we will never see that printed retraction. Has anyone else heard or seen anything on this?
They should concentrate on all the GOOD things this woman has done over the years & continues to do. She really is an amazing woman.
Michelle O has a few favorite designers making her dresses.
Wonders how much they cost?
Unless I am paying for it, this is of no concern for me. If you can afford to dress to the nines, feel free to do so.
I’m so glad CBS News is reporting on this significant information and not wasting time with trivialities like how Obama funded his way through Harvard. I can sleep soundly tonight.
True conservative reaction to a report of someone spending $300K on an outfit (or anything else) - GOOD! Look how many jobs that just created!
If designers are making her dresses, my humble opinion is that she should fire said designers.
Guess they have hired Jayson Blair as their consultant.
Or Dan Rather is still roaming the halls.

1) Created jobs where?
2) If one earned the money, buy and dress as one chooses!
I am going to ask my best friend. Her mom does seamstress work for Cindy. She would know.
name dropperrrrrrrrr
The ain’t called “drive by media” by Rush for no reason.
You don't create enduring jobs that grow the economy when you spend your money on consumables. You create jobs and grow the economy when you invest in the means of production and hire folks to produce goods and services. Then, they earn income which they can spend on purchasing goods produced by someone else's investments in growth and the investors all gain by having a right to a fraction of the total production stream that is created.
Republicans keep forgetting that private wealth only leads to increased production if it is spent in ways that result in investment in increasing production.
You have the right to spend private wealth how you choose. Whether it is productive or merely consumptive depends upo n what you spend it on.
LOL!!
I just got off the phone with my friend and asked her about Cindy’s clothes and she says no way do those outfits cost 200,000-300,000 each!!
Maybe I can get her seamstress to appear on Fox News Channel????? I will have to ask her if she would appear on tv and then send an email to FNC.
Always hold a piece of gold jewelry in your hand to get an idea of its weight before buying. If you hold the Chinese piece in one hand and (for example) an Italian piece in the other, even if they look identical, you will be amazed at the difference.
Also, don't waste your money on anything under 18kt. It is not true that 24kt gold is too soft to work, either. Our wedding rings came from a 24kt Javanese money ring, alloyed just slightly to get to the correct mass and after 34 years are exactly as they were when made.
Michelle most likely buys by price and store brand. If it is even real or not plated. A lot of women with really fine jewelry collections have faux pieces they wear in public, saving the fine items for venues with security. It can be nerve-wracking to wear expensive items in crowded public places. Probably why Cindy's pearls were faux.
Ah well, perhaps “created” was a poor word choice. “Supported” might have been a better fit. I would agree that consumerism does not, in and of itself, create jobs, however, without consumers you can invest in the means of production to your heart’s content, but it will not be sustainable.
