Ouch!!!! He looks like Satan here!
Or, from my lips to God's ears, anywhere hear a potential global economic meltdown.
Just seeing him in the same room with a proposed $700B bail-out would be a juxtaposition that he could never recover from.
After months and months of trying to get obama to debate, NOW he finds this one debate absolutely critical. The country is heading down a slippery slope and all obama wants to do, is run his mouth about foreign policy?
Go back to Germany and hold another concert obama, that’s all you know about foreign policy anyway.
I hope Im wrong but this will only help the Dems.

None of Obama’s supporters mind’s will be changed. They’ll vote for him no matter what. I think the rest of voters already know the press is unfair and I seriously don’t think they are listening any more to the press. It may serve only to reinforce the minds of Dems, not sway anyone else’s opinion. This is McCain being McCain=country first.
I’m sure you are right that some will try. But will they succeed? I don’t think so.
Will it hurt them to even try? YES.
The Rats are on the ropes with this one. I can’t even imagine how they feel at even the slightest prospect that, at this moment in history, with all that is at stake, they might—even a teeny-weenie-little-bit-—have to go out to the microphones and stand behind a gawkly man-child while he hems and haws and can’t even get out proper inside-the-beltway boiler plate phrases.
I think the thought makes them ill. And their egos won’t allow it. And, dare I say, even some Rats will have proper concern for the country and, therefore, won’t want Obambi gaffe-ing this up.
There is one thing obama is going to HAVE to do is FOLLOW McCain back to Washington, he can’t debate a podium.
I have faith in the old veteran pilot. I hope his leadership here works - not just politically, but for our economy.
this strikes as a bad strategic move

It’s a tactical move backing up strategy of country first.
I’d been suggesting for a while that Obambi debate Palin-—since he seems to think she’s the one he’s running against.
So, yeah, I like it.
That said, I sure want Palin with McCain in Washington every step of the way. I posted my reasoning upthread.
The point is that there is a vast difference between what the campaign said (that Davis has had no business with Freddie Mac in that past several years) and the truth (that Davis or his company was getting from between $15,000-$30,000 dollars a month from Freddie Mac for years - until August.Freddie Mac paid McCain aide's firm *pops*
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how it is it helping any that McCain's Campaign Manager is involved in this mess, or that the campaign has had to backpedal on the assertion that he (Davis) hadn't received money in several years.
And who says they didn't get their money's worth? They paid Davis to lobby against oversight and there wasn't any. Sounds like their half-million was well-spent.
Great idea....BRAVO!
Perhaps they won’t succeed.
However, given enough time to prepare, I think Obama will again go into his speech mode like when he entered his plywood Temple.
IMO, long winded speeches won’t help him at this point. Anytime Obama is forced to think on his feet, McCain benefits.
The tired old line of "the George Bush economy" will eventually wear thin. At some point, even the below-average intelligence voter will want to look under the hood.
“Body parts” was a little inside, “in country” joke. I just forgot, uh, no one here would get it. ;)
That said, I actually didn’t know the history of that expression. I always appreciate knowing such, so thanks!
If that is so, I think it would be politically disastrous to The One’s campaign. Anytime they are forced to think and react quickly, it goes very, very badly. So I hope and pray you are correct.
I think that there is a strategy involved with stopping the ad’s, Bammie won’t even have the ad’s to respond to.
He can’t debate Mac and he can’t debate his ad’s and he has no choice but to FOLLOW Mac back to Washington.
Win/win for Mac. There are LEADERS and there FOLLOWERS.
