And another poll in Michigan -- by the Marketing Resource Group of Lansing for the newsletter Inside Michigan Politics -- showed McCain leading Obama in the state, 46%-43%.

This is hugh!
Good news from Michigan. They have had their fill of big government it seems.

.....and series. All Michigan is belong to us!
If you are in Michigan, DO NOT LOOK AT THIS AS A REASON TO DO NOTHING!
We have been a blue state for many years, thanks to Detrite and SE Michigan.
WORK and WORK SOME MORE!
Polls are meaningless, effort is!
McCain/Palin needs to go all out in Michigan, PA, VA, CO, OH and FL. I think he can win all them, even MI and PA.
Perhaps Kwame Kilpatrick is part of the reason.
What I find interesting is that in the crucial swing states McCain is close or ahead. But the polls show McCain tied or two points or so behind in the national polls. Makes one wonder.
As a optimist, hate to be skeptical, but this is a GOP firm, similar to DEM PPP polling.
Hope its right.
Exactly. These polls are meant to get Republicans complacent so they won't be as fired up. When the electionl comes 110% of Wayne county voters will be "voting" for Obama. That's what needs to be overcome.
Even if McCain loses IA and NM, he’s still the next president.
Kerry got 251 EC votes, IA and NM don’t add up to the 19 needed for Fauxbama to win (assuming he holds every Kerry state, which he won’t).
Here’s the reality folks, Assuming Fauxbama’s support does not completely collapse by election day, and the polls are remotely accurate.. The state of the race now is the battleground states are the RUST BELT, PA,WI,MI and MN.
Fauxbama is dead, he will not hold all 4 of those states, he’s going to lose at LEAST 2 of them, and NH is going to flip as well for the R’s.
So with NH flip, that means Fauxbama has to make up 24 EC votes, and he can only do that by flipping VA a few western states and holding all these rust belt states, and that’s not going to happen.
The ONLY state I think that is likely going to go D that previously R is IOWA, and that’s got nothing to do with Fauxbama, but to do with McCain has a long history against Ethanol subsidies, that’s the only reason that state may turn. I don’t believe CO, NV or NM will stay D by election day.

Don’t think CO and NM will go to McCain, but I see him taking MI and PA and VA. Can’t imagine him losing VA. He’ll win NH too.
Nugent rocks!

one part Kwame, two parts Granholm
this state is the poster child of what liberal tax policies do to an economy. I live in Oakland County and all I see are McCain/Palin signs. Kerry only won by 3%, 160,000 votes. MI is definitely up for grabs. here’s hoping!
Its things like this which make it inconceivable that Obama would win.
He did not when even the primaries in his key states— Ohio and Penn.
How if 20+ percent of Hillary voters are going for McCain and untold percentages of Hillary voters will just sit it out can Obama win or even be close?
That is the part I cannot understand.
It must be an imagined surge of New voters.
Its not going to happen.
It is now, but I’m not sure that itll go into the michigan composite because the relative obscurity of the polling outfit.
