Three out of four U.S. voters (74%) say they are Very Likely to watch the upcoming presidential debates, but over half (56%) think debate moderators are biased in their questioning, according to new Rasmussen Reports national telephone surveys taken Friday and Saturday nights.
In the first debate this Friday evening, 22% believe the moderator, veteran PBS newsman Jim Lehrer, will try to help Barack Obama. Forty-three percent (43%) say Lehrer will play a neutral role to help voters make an informed choice. Only six percent (6%) think he will try to help John McCain (see crosstabs).

The 9/11/08 "SERVICE" interviews were an outrageous example: The female what's-her-face tried three times to get McCain to say that our "exceptionalism" means we think we are better: "THE BEST" than everyone else. She also tried to trap (by suggestion) him into saying that national service(itude) should be "compulsory" (involuntary). Liberals elites want to enslave the great unwashed, the veil gets thinner and thinner.
Then came the Obama interview, Lewwinsky could not have done a better job of coddling him.

The 6% who think that Lehrer will help McCain reside in the trees of Berkeley posting on the demorat underground. When they talk about a “fairness doctrine” it certainly doesn't apply to presidential debates. It's a given that Lehrer will play to the wonder child's strengths, how few they may be, and to McCain's weaknesses. This will be a true test for McCain.

This doesn't add-up. 22+43+6 = 71%.
If you read the article, you find that the other 29% think that Jim Lehrer will actually blow Obama during the debates.

So ...... I’m sure Gwen Ifill’s even-handed, fair treatment of Gov. Palin during the VP debate will make up for any bias Lehrer may have against McCain. /s
