Gandalf actor Sir Ian McKellan tours schools to tell children being gay is okay

Actor Sir Ian McKellen has revealed he is to tour Britain's schools preaching about gay tolerance.

The openly gay star, who is best known to youngsters as Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings blockbusters, wants to encourage other homosexual men to go back to their former schools and lecture pupils on homophobia.

Revealing his campaign in gay magazine Attitude, Sir Ian said: 'I’ve been busy at quite a few schools recently. I went to a wonderful co-ed faith school in Harpenden.

'They were Christians and absolutely determined that their pupils did not discriminate. They invited me to come and give prizes to 13-year-olds in front of the parents and to talk, partly, about being gay.

I don’t know why I thought we were talking about younger children than that, but you appear to be correct.

My thought is that homosexuals should be treated decently. I still don’t like the idea of having celebrity homosexuals come in and lecture to impressionable kids.

That's your naivete speaking, I'm afraid. Why do kids need to be lectured about "homophobia" except as a convenient segue to bringing up the "rest of the story"?

Sex and sexuality should be private, irrespective of leanings.

The gay actors I admire are those who kept it and keep it private.

This is why we must resist gay “rights”.

Homosexuality will always remain a mental disorder stemming from early childhood development and other factors.

There MAY be a predilection, but it is NOT assured, there is no gay gene. There is also a predilection for violent behavior in people, MOST of the time it is never acted upon and needs triggers.

Molested children = MUCH higher percentage of homosexuality as adults, thus endeth ALL of their arguments about being “born” that way. Gays can and do “recruit”, they are lying when they say they do not.

There will NEVER be an honest, open discussion about this subject in the MSM.

Homosexuality exists and is already taught as part of sex education in schools. So my objection to this(over and above the ‘need’ for celebrities to speak to schools) is more from an objection to political correctness lectures taking time away from the ‘3 R’s’...

I would want teenagers ‘roleplaying’ in inappropriate heterosexual teaching either, frankly. I’d be just as horrified if kids were being taught about multiple partners, BDSM, swinging etc, as I would gay sex.

McKellen’s lectures will be about bullying, rather than the sexual aspect. The man is hardly going to be ‘cruising’ for male jailbait...lol. There ARE British gay militants Id be more worried if they were giving a speech.

Hell, the poor man will spend his time fielding questions about Magneto and Gandalf and whether he will be in the Hobbit...lol

I dont think his speeches are necessary, but I dont think they sound a death knell for morality either. To misquote McKellen’s favourite writer:

I tend to respect those more who don’t make a big deal out of it. The activists lose me. I don’t see this as a civil rights issue. I’m tired of being hit over the head with it.

Got it. The quality of your life will someday be dramatically affected by the filth that your government is pounding into the heads of the children in its care. Bank on it.

Garbage like this is one of the main reasons we homeschool. I don't want the government or some fetishist actor telling my kids that sodomy is a good thing.
