WASHINGTON One of the giant mortgage companies at the heart of the credit crisis paid $15,000 a month from the end of 2005 through last month to a firm owned by Senator John McCains campaign manager, according to two people with direct knowledge of the arrangement. The disclosure undercuts a statement by Mr. McCain on Sunday night that the campaign manager, Rick Davis, had had no involvement with the company for the last several years.

This mess firmly sits in the Dems and Obama’s pocket.
Hmmm...
Big Deal, it’s not a crime to do business with Feddie or Fannie. Is ATT is trouble for charging them for phone service or a security company for providing security personnel? It is a crime to get political kickbacks like Dodd and Obama and Kerry get for shielding them from regulation and accountability. It is a crime to cook the books and sell worthless paper to the Street.
Everyone has been told it doesn't matter who you associate with, if it mattered one iota, Obama would be unelectable!
calm down, just relax.
“And how much was Mr. Obama paid?”
____________
Good question. How much money did Obama get from FM? Anyone know? Anyone have a link?
Now the real stuff. Who is one of Obama major campaign stuff?
Answer: Jim Johnson the ex-CEO of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Who is the politician who received the third largest contribution from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?
Answer: Barack Obama
WOW!!! The liberal media is really desperate to come up with this story about McCain aid receiving 15,000 dollars from Freddie Mac.
Well at least he doesn’t have the Fannie Mae head fraudsters as an economic advisor.
They paid somebody in Louisiana and one of my neighbors too.
Are you aware of Jim Johnson Obama top aid who was the CEO of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae? Are you aware that Obama received the third largest contributions in Congress from these two companies?
The article said that even though Davis took a leave from the firm, Davis & Manafort, for the campaign, as a partner he continues to share in the profits. But a McCain campaign aide disputed the claim that he has received any compensation from the firm since taking his leave in December 2006. The aide told FOX News that Davis stopped taking a salary and draws no partnership distribution from the firm.

Nice find.
The problem is the statement that Davis “has had nothing to do with it since, and Ill be glad to have his record examined by anybody who wants to look at it.”
Funny how the NYT manages not to notice or report on the DIRECT CONTRIBUTIONS to 0bama, the 2nd most of all the Senate during his time in office.
There’s a chasm between being an adviser to a campaign and being the campaign manager, especially when your candidate swore up and down that you had had no connections to fannie for years. Whom do you think the media is going to emblazon across the TV screen? Except for talk radio no one has mentioned Johnson or Raines. Now they won’t have to. they’ll have Rick Davis and John McCain to kick around.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
He took a leave from his firm and he claims to have not been paid since he left. The NY Times claims he must have been, but has no proof.
BREAKING NEWS ON MSNBC. Its all the chatter......
