This came down as an "alert" from the AP...the latest whine from the Drive Bys.
Palin, while in New York, is meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Colombian President Alvaro Uribe. The meetings are scheduled for Tuesday.
The press was told photogs and a camera crew could go in, but no so-called journalists who pretend to be reporters.

If they did, wouldn't that be saying that the network decides and controls what the public will see? Even if they do, so what? Nothing exciting will probably come out of the meeting anyway. To be effective the media would have to not even mention this and that's not going to happen because they won't be able to stop talking about how "wronged" they were. She will get a lot more publicity out of this because of their "outrage" than if they had attended. IMO

Better to let the MSM whine about being excluded than allowing their participation which only adds credibility to their lies and distortions. Sarah has figured out how to bring parenting skills to governing. She leads by example and takes away privilege to punish bad behavior. She is facing an uphill climb in attempting to teach grown reporters the manners that Piper (7) has but by golly I think she just might do it.

The MSM attempts to set the rules, and to define the enemy. They were never elected. Hell, they're not even nominated.
The quote presumes common standards of civility, common courtesy and respect for the event. Those, and a free press, are not mutually exclusive.
It is, to be sure, a photo opportunity that will help create the visual image of Palin meeting with world leaders. Obama could use a few of those himself for exactly the same reason. What are reporters going to do there except (1) interrupt the proceedings and (2) inject commentary in the guise of "reporting"?
Amen. I believe God heard our cries and prayers, opened McCains heart and allowed him to pick Sarah. However, I do believe, HE will be leaving the rest up to us. So far, so good!
