'SNL' Palin 'Incest' Skit Angers Viewers Viewers, Bloggers Think Skit Went Over Line
POSTED: 11:30 am EDT September 22, 2008 UPDATED: 12:14 pm EDT September 22, 2008 For the second week in a row, NBC's "Saturday Night Live" has taken to lampooning Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin -- but this time, it has angered conservative viewers over a skit that suggests that the Alaska governor's husband, Todd Palin, was having sex with the couple's daughters.
In the skit, show guest host James Franco plays an assignment editor at the New York Times at the head of an editorial meeting. During a mock assignment meeting where the paper announced that 50 reporters were being sent to look for dirt on Sarah Palin, a Times "reporter" asks, "What about the husband? You know he's doing those daughters. I mean, come on. It's Alaska."
In response, Franco's character said, "He very well could be. Admittedly, there is no evidence of that, but on the other hand, there is no convincing evidence to the contrary. And these are just some of the lingering questions about Gov. Palin."

SNL may have jumped the shark on PDS.
Wait for the backlash...
There may be a couple Pat Robertsons on the right but the left is rife with mean old queens. Nothing more helpful to the republican cause than an empowered angry gay.
60th Emmys hit all-time ratings low

gee, I wonder why.
Here are some people to speak to. They are high up in the hierarchy at GE. Don’t bother calling up NBC. They just transfer you to voice mail.

So the two conservatives that were still watching that propaganda fest have finally quit. The question is what took so long.

For God’s sake folks, this skit is a rip on the MEDIA!!! And how rediculous they are behaving!!! For once SNL’s taking a shot at the liberal media!!! Sheesh.
I hate it when “we” play the victim as it’s the liberals stock in trade to constantly whine about how offended they are, yada yada.
BUT - this is so far over the line that it may be best if it gets elevated through a libel suit or something. NBC and GE probably don’t need the PR “help” after last weeks stock hammering, and with O’Reilly nipping at their heels.
People who might “lean Obama” need to know this is going on, and the MSM isn’t going to touch it unless they think they can damage a rival, NBC.
Just doing a skit that reflects their PAY GRADE
Oh for goodness sakes, the skit was meant to point out what a bunch of butt clowns the NYT is for taking gaarbage spewed directly from the Daily Kos and DU and posting it as fact.
Kind of like those butt clowns from Hollywood do. E.G. ~ Matt Damon, Lindsay Lohan, Chevy chase. Clueless.

I am not really a Conservative at least I wasn’t in 2001, since then I have become more so as the years go by. SNL has been deteriorating for quite sometime, but this skit is downright evil and SNL isn’t allowed in my house anymore.
I have to strongly agree with you.
Its unfortunate that conservatives refuse to get this.
The point is that the NYT is over the top. The fact that the skit calls them out directly rather than the oblique media is quite a statement in itself.
On a brighter note, any controversy will probably help our side regardless.
If this degenerate “skit” is what passes for humor or satire within the country today, then American culture is doomed.
Can you imagine the uproar if SNL had suggested that Barak was having sex with his children?
MAN Emmys were on?
I live in Los Angeles, CA
I didn’t knowwwww
I’m a very, VERY novice stand up comedian BUT I do know that one thing you never do is joke about incest & hurting kids. They thought they could get away with it b/c Sarah’s Conservative. If they did that in a comedy club outside of Hollyweird, they’d get booed off the stage.
Which is why they portray the Palin's as engaing in incest.
