ACORN Sprouts Voter Fraud – Group Has Ties To Obama Campaign
September 19, 2008 – The Association of Community Organizations for Reform (ACORN), is, once again, involved in voter fraud across the country. ACORN is a socialist group that is an out-growth of New Left politics.
The latest scandal involves voter fraud in Detroit, Michigan, where clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration forms submitted by ACORN.
According to the Detroit Free Press, the Michigan Secretary of State’s office is receiving complaints from all over the state. The Secretary has turned the phony applications over to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for investigation. ACORN has branches in 100 cities and claims 350,000 families as members.
ACORN has a long history of engaging in voter fraud in all 50 states. In the 2006 election cycle, ACORN engaged in fraud in St. Louis, Missouri and Kansas City, Missouri. In Kansas City, more than 15,000 registrations were questionable. Four ACORN employees had submitted these 15,000 fraudulent forms with fake names and addresses. ACORN workers have been convicted in Wisconsin and Colorado and investigations were launched in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
ACORN receives federal grant money for its housing programs. During 2003-2004, it received $2.6 million! In 2005, it convinced the House of Representatives to pass a bill creating an “affordable housing trust fund,” which would allocate up to 5% of profits generated by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to groups like ACORN for affordable housing. The bill went nowhere in the Senate.
The Obama-ACORN Connection
In addition, Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) has been implicated in potential election fraud involving ACORN.
In August, 2008, blogger Michelle Malkin reported that Sen. Obama used a non-profit group called Citizen Services, Inc., as a front group to funnel payments to ACORN for campaign advance work.
Obama paid more than $800,000 to Citizens Services, Inc., a subsidiary of ACORN to engage in a get-out-the-vote project. This money was misrepresented by the Obama campaign in its Federal Elections Commission report.
In addition, when Obama was a community organizer in Chicago, he actually helped train ACORN staff members. National Review author Stanley Kurtz published a detailed expose on the Obama-ACORN connection in May, 2008.
According to Kurtz, Obama’s connection to ACORN is long and deep. “Obama not only sought and received the endorsement of ACORN’S political arm in his local campaigns, he recently accepted ACORN’S endorsement for the presidency, in pursuit of which he reminded Acorn officials of his long-standing ties to the group.” said Kurtz. One Chicago-based ACORN leader revealed these deep ties in “Case Study: Chicago – The Barack Obama Campaign” in Social Policy. Writer Toni Foulkes says that Obama helped train a cadre of Chicago’s ACORN leaders. According to Obama: “I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career.” (Steven Malanga, “Organizer in Chief,” City Journal, Summer, 2008).
“Obama’s close connection to ACORN is alarming,” said TVC Executive Director, Andrea Lafferty. “It reveals a man who is engaging in Chicago-style politics – not a man who transcends the old politics or offers ‘change’ to the American people.”
You’ll have to excuse the DNC for not taking action concerning ACORN. They’re too busy blocking Absentee Military Ballots from Overseas.
If they are engaged in fraud they should be prosecuted.
I tried to get on acorn.org. You can’t.
They have been...where they were caught. In my state of WA there were convictions of ACORN employees. The Dem won the gov. election by 139 votes...there were far more than that in fraudulent voters that were caught, but since they couldn't prove how those fraudulent voters actually voted they didn't overturn the election.
WHY doesn’t a GOP group put out a TV AD on this?

I’m sicked and tired of reading about these allegations on ACORN. Can somebody please explain to me, why no legal suit has been filed against this organization?
I am convinced that the conservatives are the people who’re destroying this country. Because it’s conservatives who have been taking the liberals too lightly, it’s the conservatives who caved in to the libs years after years hoping that the libs would one day be satisfied and shut up. But what the conservatives do not realise is that the libs would never be satisfied and they would never shut up. The more we give in to them, the more they wanted from us.
I want to ask the conservatives, when are you going to realize that ‘enough is enough’. When are you going to stand up and play ‘hard balls” with these libs? When are you going to sue the heck out of the libs the way they’ve been sueing you?
Our country is dying, because we allow the libs to kill it.
I don't need a secret decoder ring to know that this is what "community organizers" are really up to.
ACORN is Obama’s only chance to win.
I still don’t see any mention of Obama’s Hopefund PAC; but here is a direct reference to Obama’s campagn, Citizens Service, Inc., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and ACORN .

Since the McCain camp has given the “green light” to use asociations as means to attack Obama, will he use this one as well? Obama kicked a hornets nest when he made tht ad in spanish, he is going to wish he didn’t!
This is just where they got caught.
Please send this to BOR & Hannity and every radio talk-show host in the country.
And every newspaper, a few will print it and address the Obama -Acorn-Fraud issue.

This is scary stuff and obama is in the middle of it teaching them how to skirt the laws.
There have been recent reports concerning the O’s website allowing ANYONE to download voter information from a list on his website, including voter ID numbers. They can download as many as they want.
This of course means the ‘O’ is going to steal the election because it is very important that the Socialists are completely in charge.
