Good morning, AB.

Did you count Bloomberg as one of the eight Republicans?

I'm looking forward to the opening of tax season, when the Sunday shows will have Charlie Rangel as a guest to talk about how to properly report and pay all income taxes. Maybe they will call it the “Lead by Example Tour”

Morning all, thanks again AB for the thread.

I am fuming!

Once again the rats have laid the trap and we have fallen into it by giving rat lenders yet another pass.

Does Socialism loom on the horizon? Will our kids have insurmountable debt? The jury is out but coming back soon. ..............

John Boehner, can't wait to see him, he's the man!! Best we have behind Sarah.

frank luntz was just on FNC

he was saying “the public wants guidance.”

Notice how he never says DEMOCRAT PARTY controlled washinton DC.

The MSM (fox included) NEVER seems to have the ability to say DEMOCRATS predominate in dc. Even in unelected politions, the democrat party members hold those jobs.

It is all about spin now.

tight race means high ratings.

they have to prop up the marxist.

Just a heads up. I was listening to Religion On The Line, this morning, because one of the hosts is Rabbi Joe Potasnik. The show is addressing the disinvitiation of Sarah Palin.

He had a guest on who is involved with the rally. He apologized for what occurred. Said they were forced into a position to revoke the invitation. Said that one of the group that was attending the rally sent a letter from their lawyer saying that their tax status could be affected if they allowed Sarah Palin to speak.

Just more of the finger pointing about the money markets. Nothing really to see, just a bunch a people trying to justify their jobs to the American People.

Just INHO we should get rid of the whole darned lot!

This is all about the ‘Rats rewriting history. They will repeat the LIES often enough.....”Bushes fault.....Halliburton.....Enron........etc.” The MSM puppets will simply nod there approving heads and smile. Makes me SICK. Bush attempted to warn the Congress several times and NOTHING was done.

Good Morning everyone!

Popping in briefly before heading to the Western WA State Fair in Pullyup (6th largest fair in the nation :-).

I see they’re having Schmuckie, Dodd and Barney on to re-write history and try to explain that they had no part of this mess, it’s all Bush’s fault TM and, that we need to protect not only Wall Street but Main Street (the Dims new mantra).

Schumer, Dodd and Frank Asleep At The Wheel or Stuck On Stupid?

This Blog is specifically intended for liberal Democrats Charles Schumer, of New York, Chris Dodd of Connecticut and Barney Frank of Massachusetts. I want to know from you three and others like you who share your ideas of what government should be, where in the “Sam Hill” were you gentlemen as the current financial house of cards was starting to show signs of folding?

“This financial storm may have been created to make Bush look bad”

From the article I posted earlier in this thread:

Why didn’t you three or the “Dali-Bama” push for the passage of sweeping banking, mortgage lending and loan insurance reform legislation back in 2003 and 2005? Bush, McCain and hundreds of economists saw this disaster coming, but oh no not you!

Simply stated it was because Schumer, Dodd, Frank and your cronies like Reid, Rangel, Murtha, Boxer, Diane “Franken-Feinstein”, Hillary “Rotten” Clinton, and Nancy “Stretch” Pelosi were too busy concentrating on blocking every piece of legislation on the Presidential wish list just to make the administration look bad. The plan was to keep the public and the news media focused on the war in Iraq, all in an effort to swing power back to liberal Democrats prior to the election.

Well you three back benchers it worked and thank you for this mess we are in. Now you and so many others on the liberal left, including Senators Joe Biden and Barack Obama want to cry foul... and it stinks sirs.

President Bush and John McCain saw this coming and you three did nothing, just because you clowns were in the middle of a big power grab you all chose to sit on your hands while leading in the charge to do nothing! You and so many others like you on the left refused the pass the FDIC Banking Reform Act of 2005 H.R. 1185 and you also refused to pass the Mortgage Regulatory Reform Act of 2005. Each of you claim now that Republicans have supposedly pushed us into this mess, yet you all continually blocked the passage of proposed Republican legislation to prevent it, just so you could win an election!

Wonder if 0bama’s financial advisor will relay Bambi’s plan, or if he’s still holding back (reminds me of sKerry in the last election, “I have a PLAN” (though he never wanted to share any of them):
“Given the gravity of this situation, and based on conversations I have had with both Secretary Paulson and Chairman Bernanke, I have asked my economic team to refrain from presenting a more detailed blue-print of how an immediate plan might be structured until the Treasury and the Federal Reserve have had an opportunity to present their proposal.”

Open the checkbook! Here comes the porkers.

Paulson did a lousy job explaining the $700bn plan on the table. Chris set up a question where Paulson could have hit a home run and state that LESS regulation by the government (Fannie/Freddie) is the answer: stop forcing banks to make loans to less than credit worthy borrowers.

An abbreviated history of part of the current economic crisis:

RE: The housing loans crisis

Investors Default On Outsize Share Of Home Loans
Wall Street Journal ^ | August 31, 2007 | MICHAEL CORKERY and JAMES R. HAGERTY

Investors played a big role in pumping up home prices during the housing boom. Now, they account for an outsize proportion of loan defaults, mortgage bankers and builders say.

A survey by the Mortgage Bankers Association found that mortgages on properties that aren't occupied by the owner -- mostly investment homes -- account for between 21% and 32% of the defaults on prime-quality home loans in Arizona, California, Florida and Nevada, states where overdue payments are mounting fast.

Home Loans to Illegal Immigrants Sturdy But Show Some Cracks

Despite the downturn of the mortgage market, a type of home loan has remained surprisingly sturdy: one extended to illegal immigrants.

Home Loans for Illegal Immigrants [no Social Security number? No legal residency? No Problem!]

For many, it's the American dream: owning a home. With the recent spike in housing costs, it's become more difficult for many Valley families to qualify for a home loan. But some local banks are giving out loans, and they don't even require a social security number.

And the politicians in Washington never saw this crisis coming?????
