Sneed hears the health of U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, whose bravura in the face of a cancerous brain tumor resulted in a surprise appearance and speech at the Democratic National Convention, is sadly going downhill.
Backshot: "He gave every ounce of courage to attend that convention, where an attack of kidney stones caused him to be delivered by ambulance," said a source.
Update: "And although he still goes sailing every day at 2 p.m., he is getting weaker and weaker. He's a very ill man. It's been said he could have three weeks, three months or three years . . . but I wouldn't bet three years."

Now that is the way to handle it.
Don’t expect I will watch either.
Typical comment found on DU.
Congratulations for showing your hate. We are so enlightened by it.
Get a grip.
Funeral n.: A long-term slumber party.
Can you say “Caroline Kennedy”?

“How many more times do we have to say kind things about uncle Teddy?”
Me? NONE!
Never did. Never will.
I won’t fake sympathy for anyone like him.
I'll say something nice about drunk fat ted:
He's probably not the most corrupt member of the U.S. Senate, that distinction belongs to Chris Dodd.
Could the timing of his demise help or hurt the campaign?
Hate what is evil, cling to what is good.
I make no apologies.
He'd have to be terribly liberal.
I feel just as badly for Ted as I would for any other individual who willfully and knowingly allowed a young girl to die horribly.
I’m not sure what kind of information the author is privy to, but check out the picture of the Swimmer from last week’s democratic primary:

He looks pretty good to me. I’d be shocked if he didn’t last until after the election.
I’m betting on Barney Frank as his replacement(gag).
Do you remember the threads after he was taken ill and rushed to the hospital? The Mods were slapping down threads left and right...as was their job...because of the hatred and vitriol that was being posted. We were devolving into DU, f'rgoshsakes! Now, I am not defending the man, not by any means. However, we can't let ourselves stoop to the level of the brainless, emoting twits over on DU (and KOS, and HuffPo).
We have class. We are better than that....even if it means that we bite our tongues, mumble a few unmeant niceties, and turn our backs on the situation. In the end, it's far better than looking exactly like our enemies.
That's all I have to say.
Now there's a sentence someone could have a lot of fun with.
It could be speaking of his birth.
He was, after all, ROSEmary's baby.
Luckily it was an ambulance delivering little satan as SUVs weren't invented yet.
Is this “code” for he’s seen the internal polls?
Thank you for saying it so well and for so many...myself included.
I worry about people who talk about themselves in the third person. Kind of like the Seinfeld episode..
Jerry: "Can't believe your going out with him..."
Elaine: "Why?"
Jerry: "I dunno. He's so strange.'
Elaine: "How so?"
Jerry: "Did you notice he always refer to himself in the third person.
Jimmy can dunk. Jimmy's new in town. Jimmy we'll see you later."
Elaine: "No No... That's not him. That's the guy who gave me... Jimmy's number."
Jerry: "That's Jimmy. That's the way he talks."
Elaine: "I'm going to go see Mel Tormé with him?"
Jerry: "Jimmy's gonna put the moves on Elaine.."
I can’t raise the venom I hear from others. Loss is loss, pain is pain and I can’t wish that on anyone. His fate is in God’s hands and I wish him an easy passing.
