Washington, DC -- A new commercial from the Obama slams a survivor of a botched late-term abortion and presidential candidate John McCain as "sleazy" for promoting a "despicable lie" that calls Obama into question for his votes against providing medical care to babies who survive failed abortions.
As LifeNews.com reported, Gianna Jessen, a young woman who survived a failed saline abortion in the late 1970s, chides Obama for voting repeatedly against bills in the Illinois legislature to stop infanticide.
She released an ad about Obama's votes against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act and pointed out how even abortion advocates like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry voted for a similar bill on the federal level.
The Obama campaign has just released a scathing new ad in response.

He argued passing the law would "prejudice the original intent of the mother (having the abortion)." The original intent was to have an abortion. The plain and obvious meaning is that he didn't want that outcome affected by a child being born alive.
What else could it mean?
Maybe, but it will have appeal to his supporters and then some who already have.
I never thought I would see another politician who made Bill and Hillary Clinton look good.
Not to mince words, but the ad does not use the word “liars” or the phrase “sleazy despicable liars.”
Obama is so clueless, he actually uses Gianna’s image in the ad. She ought to sue him for defamation, calling her a liar. And what irks me the most is that this is not a McCain ad in the first place.

They are trying to get people confused between the Obama website and non-partisan factcheck.org
Accusing some one of a despicable lie, is calling them a liar.
"John McCain's attacks -- the sleaziest ads ever -- truly vile," a female narrator says. "Now, votes taken out of context accusing Obama of letting infants die. It's a despicable lie."
The problem is not the facts, but the quotation marks.
In fairness to Barack Obama, Jessen’s statement that “If Barack Obama had his way, I wouldn’t be here” isn’t quite true. She was born long before Obama had entered politics, and so nothing that Obama did would have affected her survival personally.
Crack has gotten BHO crackin up. He’s going down in flames.
If Barry O needs to spend money on an ad directly rebutting this, he’s REALLY in more trouble over this issue than the media lets on.
