Washington, DC -- A new commercial from the Obama slams a survivor of a botched late-term abortion and presidential candidate John McCain as "sleazy" for promoting a "despicable lie" that calls Obama into question for his votes against providing medical care to babies who survive failed abortions.
As LifeNews.com reported, Gianna Jessen, a young woman who survived a failed saline abortion in the late 1970s, chides Obama for voting repeatedly against bills in the Illinois legislature to stop infanticide.
She released an ad about Obama's votes against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act and pointed out how even abortion advocates like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry voted for a similar bill on the federal level.
The Obama campaign has just released a scathing new ad in response.

"This ad will work. Abortion is the religion of the left. Who cares if a fetus survives and dies later."
It will work on who? It isn't directed at the left, he already has them. It is directed at women in general, Ind and Hillary women voters. How does this "work" with them? A vast majority of the people support the attempt to save the life of a baby who is alive after an attempted abortion. If he is trying to say he never voted against the Infanticide bill in Ill then he loses since the proof of his no vote and final "present vote on the amended bill are a matter of public record which he has ALREADY admitted to.
So explain how this ad "will work"

Aside from calling the abortion surviver a liar, what exactly is scathing about Onada’s ad. As far as I could tell he did not deny his votes.

Clearly, a certain community organizer is all about taking lives rather than saving lives.
That he dare disrespect Gianna is beyond repugnant.

I wonder how many people realize how much 1st amendment rights will be under assualt. If fact, they demonstrate that by their tactics. It's ironic that they say Bush is squelching opinions contrary to his.

The GOP platform is now nothing more than words on a worthless piece of paper. McCain’s views are a total repudiation of the Reagan pro-life plank.

It's ironic that they say Bush is squelching opinions contrary to his.
And even more ironic is that if the things the leftist said about the president were true, then they would not be allowed to say them. I always thought Bush embodies the professional dimplomat. He never responded to most of the crap the MSM would say and do. He just ignored them. Obama is exatcly the oppisite. He has to have a fit everytime something is said about him. I dont think that is a good sign. Obama and his followers in the media think it is time to have a black president. How can we be against that.
To: SErtelt
Every point, especially those that are well taken, has earned these absurd responses. The focus groups must show they work. Certainly the press prints them uncritically and unchallenged.

Bad move. Obama just let the American people know he not only sees nothing wrong with infanticide, he's an abortion on demand extremist. Yup. The MSM had done a bang-up job of covering for him until now. Most people are unaware of Obama's pro-infanticide voting record.
I guess the messiah doesn't like to be contradicted. Oh well, too bad.

The media was agree with Barack Obama that John McCain is behind it and he lied. To the Ameerican Dumbed down public, it is more proof of the claim that McCain is lieing.
Americans will not trust anything coming from Bush. But they belive lock stock and barrel what the media says. They won in 2006.

Sure they won in 2006. But they LOST in 2000, 2002 and 2004. And look what they have done since they won. When there is proof that can be publically posted to show Obama’s vote then their lies become weapons to use against them.
You may be brainwashed into thinking that the press is omnipotent but people in general are not quite that far gone. The truth, when persistently presented and backed up will win out every time because lies can be miles wide but they are just an inch deep and the liars must become louder and more frantic as the truth is put out in front.
Ever hear the expression, “ Me thinks thou doth protest to much” (Romeo and Juliette). Just look at the frenzy of the left as they go totally nuts trying to destroy the truth as represented by John McCain and Sara Palin. Believe me when I say people are not blind to the desperation. The very last thing people want is a president who is DESPERATE to be the president.
To: 101voodoo
When there is proof that can be publically posted to show Obamas vote then their lies become weapons to use against them. Such proof exists. There is even audio of his defense of his vote, stating that providing medical care for the born alive baby would put too much burden on the decision of the woman and the doctor.
I've put this in front of libs and their response is denial - "that's ridiculous, he doesn't support letting those babies die".

Thanks for the pep talk. Just for the record the media is full of crap, but they are sill very powerfull and people are weak.
I am hopeful McCain can win though.
